Great place to shop and eat
Stayed in the area for a week and visited here three times. Looks a bit run down from the outside but it's like an alladins cave inside. Everything from clothes to toiletries to cooking utensils and more. Had tea in the lovely massive conservatory one day, the next visit we had afternoon coffee and cakes and our final visit was a lovely cooked breakfast. Bought some lovely jumpers and dresses in the sale. Would definitely recommend a visit here and would definitely go back if in the area.

    breakfast deal
Cafe was busy, bus trip destination. Good deal for breakfast, fair amount of choice and good way of serving. Not enough staff on duty and the roof in the cafe was leaking, with buckets around the floor for the drips. The shop itself was ok, lots of areas with different goods. |Good location.

    Great selection
We popped in here for a quick look but we ended up spending a while, as its so big! Probably the best woollen mill we've been in, not sure why such bad reviews, yes, it is dated but it had a fantastic selection of stock, nice cafe and the toilets were nice and clean. Only thing we didn't like was the carpark, it was a weird layout, it was mostly coach only spaces, with hardly any car spaces? It's definitely worth popping in when your in moffat!

Decent place to visit for an hour
Edinburgh Woollen Mill in Moffat seems to be a popular attraction with coaches turning up from all over Scotland and Northern England and is only 2 miles from the A74M, and with plenty of free parking. I quite enjoyed my visit and there is a lot more to this branch of EWM than jumpers and scarves, with a large selection of quality whiskies for sale, Edinburgh gin, tourist souvenirs and shirts and trousers at reasonable prices. Also there is a cafe that sells snacks and light meals at reasonable prices and two 1920s weaving looms and a video and display of the history of Moffat Mill. Overall a decent way to pass an hour, with pleasant staff and plenty to buy, but spoiled by the old EWM building over the road, which is a derelict eyesore and needs to be demolished.

    Brilliant friendly service
We are regular visitors with Lochs and Glens holidays who feature Moffatt Mill on their return home intinary. On our last very wet visit I left my treasured raincoat in the cafe which was not missed until our drop off. I contacted the mill and they promptly dispatched the raincoat which arrived two days later having only charged me £5 pp On our next visit I will make a donation to their current charity box to show my appreciation for the friendly efficient manor they dealt with my potential loss of my raincoat.

    The Blouse Hunter!
The lassies in the shop went beyond the call of duty for my daughter. She wanted to buy some blouses but couldn't find her size. The shop lady went away through to the storeroom and hunted around and found the very items that my daughter was looking for. Would you get that standard of service in, say, Edinburgh Princes Street? Moffat Mill is a treasure trove of things to buy; something for everyone.

Sprawling cave of delights including shop, cafe, whisky cave & cafe
Brilliant place to stop on a coach tour. Plenty of opportunity to buy mementoes and presents for folk back home. Wide range of good quality good, nice cafe, great toilets, and if you want to buy some whisky miniatures, this is the place. Good, friendly service too. Thanks all.

    Coffee Club!
Stopped for a snack on long journey south. Near the motorway and much preferable to stopping at a Services. Plenty of parking space and the food was fine. Bonus that this place is part of The Coffee Club scheme!!

We stopped here whilst on a coach tour as one of the scheduled stops- clearly this is a common practice with a number of coach companies. As you enter the building, it smells damp and musty, setting the scene for the remainder of the visit. With most people wanting refreshments and toilet facilities you may expect these levels of provision to be good. The cafe was grubby with the obligatory sticky plastic table cloths - we opted for takeaway coffee (which was fine) but served by unwelcoming staff. The toilets were nothing short of disgusting and stank. Even with the high volume of people who will use these facilities, there is no excuse for poor hygiene maintenance.
If you have time- take the 5 minute walk into the town centre and find somewhere else.

Called in whilst in Moffat. It’s hard to believe this place is popular. Clothing is very dull & old fashioned. Homeware area is better but still quite tacky. It could really do with a revamp, the building & interior is very dated.

Staff in the café were awful. Gent's toilets stank so hygiene not a top priority. Shopping was ok for clothes and Scottish themed gifts etc
