Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to the promotion gaining match vs Arbroath. What an atmosphere, it’s a shame more games aren’t as full as this for killie.
Pros: Easy to get to. Bovril is decent.
Cons: stadium needs a kick of paint. The pie was undercooked and soggy.
Value: average. Nothing against killie but Scottish football need to lower prices in general to attract bigger crowds.

A quick visit to Steve Clarke's old stomping ground before he went on to great success with our national team . Well done to Steve and the entire team!

I go to this stadium nearly every week sometimes more, most of the fans are fair minded people but some are not. The atmosphere is outstanding for a small stadium and the shop is very good too. The workers in the shop work very hard and have to put up with some pretty crazy people. I love rugby park and I highly recommend a visit to this historic stadium!
Finally there is little leg room in the seats.

I travel around Scottish football stadiums and sit with the home fans. I went to Kilmarnock vs Dundee. Firstly it was sad to see the stadium about a third full. The stadium itself is a little dated and there wasn’t much atmosphere that you get with the bigger clubs or even further down the leagues. Can’t beat a Kilmarnock pie and a no roll though. Killie won 3-0 so wasn’t a bad trip.

Rugby Park is home to Kilmarnock FC, and while not always their home, was actually the first place the club played their football over 100 years ago.
Located a short walk from the town’s train station, it’s advisable using this means to get to Rugby Park (a hilarious name for a football stadium) as its notoriously bad for begging parked nearby. It’s in a residential estate so refreshingly old fashioned, although besides the club’s own sports bar I only clocked one pub, Maggies, nearby.
I didn’t clock a ticket office there, but I imagine there is one, though tickets are easily purchased online. At present with Killie in the second tier tickets cost £20 which is kind of par for the course.
It’s an 18,000 capacity ground, and while all seater by design it actually has 2 trial safe standing sections, one in each of the stands behind the goals. It’s the seating that’s my main issue with Rugby park as the seats are unforgivably tight in terms of space. Like potential fire risk tight, which makes it thoroughly unpleasant if you’re over 6ft tall. On the subject of fire hazards, apparently there aren’t smoke alarms in the bathrooms as it’s where the town youth choose to smoke it up during the game.
That aside, the stadium is quite pleasantly designed, albeit oversized for Killie. The night I was there, for an Ayrshire derby, they had around 8,000, in, which is an abnormally good crowd, as Killie are notorious for low attendances, even in the top flight. It’s not without its quirks - the portacabins suspended above the Moffat stand for a start, but if they could sort the seat spacing it would be really good.
In terms of catering, it’s famous for ‘Killie Pies’ or thanks to a naming rights issue ‘Kilmarnock Pies’ as they are now known. The truth is, it was good, I thoroughly enjoyed it…but I’m not sure it really stands out that much from any other steak pie I’ve ever had at a stadium. Alternatives include Scotch Pies, Burgers and hot dogs, all of which priced between £2-3. I’ve no complaints at all, I’m just not sure it lives up to the hype.
Overall, Killie is a nice enough stadium marred by poor seating setup. It’s not a stadium I’d ever dissuade anyone from visiting, but I wouldn’t be in any great rush to go back

A lovely day at hospitality in the 1869 Suite. Very well looked after all day. Great food, friendly staff and of course the famous Killie Pie 🥧 If you want to watch football in style treat yourself to a day out here. Fans of all clubs welcome ⚽️
