About
Treetop Trials is the newest part of the adventure at Craufurdland Estate. Probably the best Treetop Experience in Scotland. A family-orientated course with children as young as 5 years old able to participate. Ideal outdoor activity adventure for those seeking a pure adrenaline rush, lots of fresh air, fun & awesome scenery. Along with the other activities on the estate such as Archery, Crate Stacking, Tree Absail, Mud Run, Team Building activities, it is ideal for families, individuals, corporate team building, school & youth groups and adventure parties for all age groups. Safety is always at the forefront of our minds therefore we use a continuous belay system which is easy and simple for all users. You simply slide the safety line from one off the obstacle to the next along the safety wire, no need to click on and click off between activities. Treetop Trials circuit will take between 30 minutes to 3 hours to complete depending on the experience chosen, fitness and agility.

As I had a 6 y/o and a 9 y/o we had to go on the lower tree tops adventure - as Grampa I had to go on it as well and some bits were probably more difficult for me that the kids - it was really good fun. Good advance advice was given which was NOT to wear shorts and also to have long sleeves as ropes etc could cause bruises/ scrapes - our start was delayed as another group was late but we were allowed to extend our time so we got full value.

My first time and it was great. Had a blast. The instructors were very helpful and nice especially Grace who helped me the whole way along giving me tips as I progressed. Overall a good time and a lot of fun.

Attended the explorer tree top trials with my 6yr old Granddaughter today (16th Aug 2023), what a great experience
I don’t mind saying I was a bit feart lol it doesn’t look high when you’re on the ground!
Grace was our instructor, she was patient, reassuring and made the experience all the calmer with her encouragement.
A really good selection of assaults on the explorer course, the wee ones favourite by far was the Zip Slides, lol mine was just making it round the course!
I would definitely like to try the pioneer course next time.
Great experience, great for challenging and conquering fears, great memories made.

Went with my son, who is autistic, and he had a blast. The instructor (Daniel) was very helpful, friendly and good with him (as well as the other children there). And the course was just so much fun! Would recommend to any family.

Our 1st visit swinging through the trees, both myself and my 7yr old felt completely safe throughout. My daughter had a slight wobble at one point. Our great instructor Daniel stepped in and gave calm instructions and gave encouragement to the whole group.
Afterwards we got ice cream from the cafe and had a nice walk around the grounds. We might bring our bikes on our next visit.
I would definitely recommend and we will visit again soon.

Second time we have been and just as great as last time, so exciting and scary at same time was what my teenage daughter said. Safety is excellent and instructors are brilliant ! We did pioneer which is great for teenagers and adults. Great cafe and lovely walks onsite too.

Fabulous experience for our grandchildren (5 and 8) at the Tree Top Trials on The Explorer High Ropes Adventure. Our youngest got a bit scared early on with one of the trials and we thought he wouldn't go any further. Alex, the instructor was very patient and gave him confidence to try it. Both loved the experience and they can't wait to go again.

Good fun for the kids and easy for us adults to go with them. The instructor was very cheery and made for a good activity even in the rain.
