Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very clever and amusing number of sculptures by Scottish artist Shona Kinloch along King Street and the town centre. Not to be missed if you're in Kilmarnock.

Stuck in middle of pedestrian area of Kilmarnock town centre, you cant really miss them. Very eye catching range of statues but wouldnt say they were very attractive looking.

The Swimmers are eccentric statues on either side of the high street in Kilmarnock. They stand about 3 feet tall and can be easily missed if you aren’t particularly looking for them. They look like lost scuba divers that have surfaced threw the sidewalk. They add a bit of charm to the street.

Pleasant statue placed in a grotesque town occupied fundamentally by Neanderthals
Avoid Kilmarnock at all costs if you value your health !!

I've past these so many times when in Kilmarnock. As someone else as said you either notice them or you don't. I find them quite amusing. But until reading another review on here I never knew much about them.

If you look closely around Kilmarnock you will notice some amusing sculptures, the main one being "The Swimmer" on King Street. He is also accompanied by some smaller swimmers diving off the ocassional bin. These are created by the artist Shona Kinloch and are representative of the river that flows below the street.

There is also the "The Twa Dogs" sculpture at the cross based on the Robert Burns poem of the same name and "Four Twins" sculpture which stands in the Foregate Square.

Not everyone likes them but I personally find they bring a smile to my face and brighten up the area.

I always have a smile when I pass by this sculpture. It's probably been the subject of more than a few stories.

This is an odd little sculpture thing in the pavement of the street. There are other similar things around as well. No real point to it apart from a quirky oddity in the street to see as you go by. Mildly amusing at first, but you soon forget they are there as you go shopping around.

Very odd to see this in here. Do not make a special effort to 'visit; this place. It is a sculptured stone in the middle of the town centre. There are a few but not really a day out.

As a pavement sculpture it is probably one of the better. But,I disagree with impediments to the pedestrian!
