The tour was excellent, engaging all six members of our group which included 2 forty-somethings, a college student, a 14, 12, and 9 year-old. Of course, those who had read the series were most interested. Our tour guide, Shawn, was informative and paced the tour...More

We joined a 1pm walking tour with Kenny and could not have been happier. Kenny gave an excellent brief history of key sites and his explanations made our trip to Edinburgh much more enjoyable.

I joined the free harry potter today and it was awesome! Our guide, Sharn, was amazing and made the tour very enjoyable and fun! He knew a lot of facts about Harry Potter and Rowling's life and enthusiastically told us about them. Definitely recommend it!

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers

the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

I found the walking pace leisurely and the guide certainly waits for everyone to catch up - maybe the pace depends on the group that forms? There are some steps to go up and down.
