Last time I was here was 6 or so years ago. Opal used to be a smart lounge club & Edinburgh's premiere club, which you could compare to what most people would call an upper class club on the King's road or elsewhere in London....More

Visited this bar tonight for the 1st time . music wasn't great . So so. Left after 5 minutes. Didn't even bother to get a drink. certainly wasn't worth the entry fee.

We booked a table the average spend was not cheap but we walked out after really bad customer service. Rude staff they just did not care. Will not go back and I'd suggest no one else dose

Absolute Dive. Filthy, floor covered in broken glass, full of idiots too. I thought lulu was bad. Also the drink prices are absolutely ridiculous and the staff behind the bar need to move up and down the line not stand in same place....aweful...will never go...More

Went for a friends 21st birthday party last night (Saturday 28/8/16) and the toilets were loaded with flies. Drinks are overpriced. Also tried to submit this review on their Facebook page and they deleted the comment and also blocked me.

Definitely the worst nightclub in edinburgh. Very overpriced drinks considering its the standard cheap vodka. Tries to pass itself as a luxury club and fails miserably. the djs are not the best.

We had exclusive use of part of the bar, which was great, although the ceilings were a bit low for some of my guests, so they didn't use it. Great choice of rooms with different music. Good service. Bonus: I lost my phone, and someone...More

Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
until after dark when strappy dresses come out to
play. This is the city’s central business district
with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
