My friend and I (both young women) needed a reliable driver! However, most on our minds was feeling safe as female travelers. We hired John Moybray because He spoke with us on the telephone and provided us references. Even though cost was important to us, it wasn’t the deciding factor. To our delight though, he was also the most reasonably priced! John tracked our 14 hour flight to Edinburgh from San Francisco. We were due in at 16:30 (4:30 pm) but arrived at 21:30 (9:30). Although we were delayed five hours, he was on time and greeted us with a smile on. As expected, he was entirely trustworthy and a conscientious driver. His company was so pleasant, that we decided to hire him again for a multi-day journey. His price was so fair, that the all inclusive cost to pay for his fuel and accommodations was completely do-able. It was so much more leisurely, (not to mention possible) than trying to travel by public transit with all of our luggage (loads). He was so enjoyable to travel with. I will absolutely use his services again (planning an another holiday currently 2023). I will confidently refer him to strangers as well as my friends and family alike.

John offers an impeccable tour of Edinburg. He is enthusiastic and his excitement about the town made our time together even more fun. He has many anecdotes about the city which we enjoyed hearing. He knows the town very well being raised in Edinburg. He is polite and gracious and listens to your interests. He manages the time spent together very well. After our tour, he sent us gorgeous photos of some of the sites we visited. Thanks to his expertise, we feel we had a comprehensive overview. We highly recommend John for any travel to Edinburgh.

We used John a number of times over the course of the weekend of our wedding to collect guests from the airport and ferry people staying in the surrounding area backwards and forwards to the venue. My partner and I hired John to drive us from Edinburgh to Cairnryan so we can take the ferry to Belfast. Pre-travel, the emails were prompt and friendly as well as a fair price. He arrived to the hotel on time and immediately had a kind demeanor as he introduced himself and stated that he’s in no rush so I could finish my croissant/coffee while he took our luggage to his car which was clean and well-kept! The drive was ~2h30m but it did not feel long with the conversations. He shared a lot of his local knowledge and experience about Edinburgh and Scotland so it felt like a private educational tour. He definitely goes above and beyond to make sure his travelers feel safe and comfortable, too. It was a wonderful way to end the Scotland part of our Europe travels!

We booked airport transfers and an all day tour tour with John. He was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. John’s prices are very competitive and he is flexible and accommodating with his tours. We were able to provide John with a list of places we wanted to visit, and he set up an itinerary while reiterating that we could stay longer or change if requested. So much better than a “canned” bus tour that you are rushed through. I would recommend John to anyone visiting Scotland. He’s an all around nice guy who happens to be a great tour guide.

Booked two consecutive days with John with my wife, daughter, and son and we loved every minute! First day was a walking tour through Edinburgh. He met us at the hotel and took us down the Royal Mile and we visited other historic and scenic spots along the way. He was very knowledgeable about Scottish history and the individual sites’ histories, and mixed in the kind of stories that we tourists love to hear. Second day was a driving tour through the countryside. We saw castles and monuments, rivers and lochs, several quaint towns and villages, and we even fed some highland coos! John is so friendly and relatable. It was easy to forget we had just met him. Our two days were pure dead brilliant! We could not recommend John more highly!

John was SO friendly and so informative about the area that we decided to hire him as our tour guide while in Edinburgh! He is very knowledgable about the area and the rich history this town has to offer. We also booked him for our return airport transfer from the hotel to the airport. Thank you John!
