- CornwallBeeCallington, United Kingdom77 contributionsVery fun little museum/shopReally cool little collection. Lots to see and buy! Feels like you're in a Harry Potter book with the narrow staircase and magic items everywhere. The only thing I would have liked to be done differently is maybe a few fewer people in at one time. There is already a limit which is managed by staff, and a queue outside. The day I went, the queue was short, but inside was packed.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 8 October 2023
- ChastidyiSeymour, Tennessee812 contributionsSuch a cute witchy/ Harry Potter shop!Museum Context - Edinburgh We found this shop on our walk from our photo shoot to our dinner at The Witchery. It’s such an adorable little shop with lots of floors packed with Harry Potter goodies. If you’re a HP fan, i highly recommend a stop in. They also have other fun witchy things that are not HP related like tarot cards, books, etc. I may have walked out with just a few things, lol. The people working the shop were really nice, and the decor was great!Visited February 2024Travelled on businessWritten 7 March 2024
- rarmst8544Jacksonville, Florida234 contributionsVery neat storeThis place is very cool if you love Harry Potter. It’s three stories full of all kind of Harry Potter merchandise. When we were there, there was a line we had to wait in before we entered. It went pretty fast. The store is located on beautiful Victoria Street.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 July 2024
- PilarisKjersti11 contributionsA must for Harry Potter-fans.A must if you're a Harry Potter-fan. No queue when we got there as it opened, but I still felt like I had to hurry as to not make a queue. That leads to not being able to get to look around properly. The shop is small and there are things absolutely everywhere, so I probably missed out on lots. Reasonable prices.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 23 July 2024
- Daniel B1 contributionMagical ShopMagical shop! Me and my girlfriend visited today and had a great experience! It's a lovely little store full of Harry Potter memorabilia and interesting trinkets. The staff were very kind and attentive, even though the store was quite busy. Overall a must see for Harry Potter fans!Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 August 2024

A small shop with a bit of queue outside, since entries are controlled to avoid crowding inside: always have an umbrella! It doesn’t take more than 20 minutes to visit all three floors, and the items to shop are quite interesting. Even if you’ve already been to the Warner Bros Studios and bought stuff there, it’s really worth it to also visit this tiny museum.

It's very pretty, it's worth going in just to see how it's decorated, even so, I think the store across the street has more Harry Potter products and merch. Go up to take a photo on the third floor. It's very narrow so be careful not to break anything while avoiding all the people inside.
They say that it used to be an old broom shop and that J.K. Rowling was inspired by the shop to write Olivanders (the wand shop) but this has not been confirmed.

The staff at the store today 04th may was absolutely unprofessional, loud and disrespectful. We were about 3-4 customers on the first floor choosing products and viewing the store while the three staff ladies behind the counter were laughing full mouth like in a comedy show. Absolutely disrespectful and needs immediate management intervention.

I added a ticket to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the last minute before going and I am very glad I did. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Edinburgh is a very interesting city with its extensive history. Edinburgh Castle is a must. Just be ready to do a lot of walking (although public transportation by bus is readily available). The city was a jumping off place for a three day trip to the Isle of Skye which was also quite enjoyable. Easy transportation to Glasgow for a day trip was another plus.

This was a neat little gem. They had some cool unique harry potter items, and the building was so cool. However, I wanted to buy something and no one came to the register while i waited, so i just left without purchasing anything.

I'm a massive Harry Potter fan and this was my first trip with my husband after being married during Covid 2020 restrictions. The sales person told me the wands were hand carved. Turned out it was polymer clay over a chopstick. I wonder what else is said to be original or authentic when it isn't? Massively disappointed

All the way from South Africa - Sadly after finding this jewel of a store for my young daughter, I got there at 3 minutes to 6pm - after confirming closure is at 6pm telephonically and I was summarily refused entry, even after the front door staff person indicated that 'the gentleman was running'. A bit of what is great Scottish courtesy was shattered. If closure is at 6pm. Then the doors close at six.
Sad and disappointed.

Museum Context, Edinburgh: There’s more than magic in the air at The Royal Mile. There are hordes of Harry Potter fans and non fans like myself who are lured into Museum Context, a 3-storeyed narrow shop that sells official Harry Potter merchandise. It’s befitting indeed as the shop is tucked away at a cobbled walk and old building. JK Rowling lives in Edinburgh so this is the closest you can come to her magic. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Great little Aladdin's cave where you can get everything witch and wizardly. The building is on the old historic Victoria Street which is a steep cobled lane. Museum Context is a beautiful and amazing shop like being transported into a shop on Diagon Alley.
We visited on Saturday 3rd Oct and the young lady that served us was very helpful and made suitable gift suggestions for our Harry Potter mad neice's 16th birthday.
