I stumbled across this cocktail bar on Instagram, and saw that they do different themes over a certain period, such as Game of Thrones and Harry Potter. This time it was the Lord of the Rings, and it was great! The venue had a great...More
This bar is very small hence why you need to book in advance. It looks great from the outside but I think slightly more effort could have been made making the inside more hobbity. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The riddles were great...More
Me and my friend attend the bar as it was LOTR theme and we are big fans of the movie. The place was small and cosy, but we were disappointed when we found out they didn’t serve food when both of us were hungry. Also...More

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We are a little confused by some of the comments. We don't serve food as we are a cocktail bar and don't have the facilities or a kitchen to provide a food menu....More
Me and my wife went to this place during Lord of the Rings month. As the big fans we were impressed by the atmosphere. The place is small but very cosy and cool decorated. The stuff was very nice and friendly, the coctails were great.
We visited pop up geeks to experience the hobbit themed event. The space is located under arches so it's a small unit space. The space isn't a bad thing and could be used to its advantage to match the theme and be made into a...More

Traveled through from Dundee especially to visit during the 'There and Back Again' Tolkien theme and we were really happy with our visit. As a long time fan of Tolkien seeing the level of detail that had gone into the decor and design of the...More
My girlfriend and I have been attending the Pop Up Geeks bars since the very first round of Blood and Wine and it’s been a joy to watch the team grow as a company. They tapped into a brilliant gap in Edinburgh’s market and we...More
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
