Bruce went above and beyond to ensure a full day going to places of interest and, in between, sharing the stories and history of Scotland and, more generally, the UK that made the scenery come alive. I didn’t know about his YouTube channel, but his love of history and country and infectious sense of humor were evident from the get-go. Wonderful way to see places that interest you and yours—beats riding in a big bus. My teenager (who is a MacBeth fan) loved it, which says a lot. I highly recommend touring with Bruce.

We booked Bruce based on his love of Scotland and history that shines brightly in his YouTube vlogs. Our full day tour was arranged beforehand, with Bruce handling all admissions arrangements. Bruce made several excellent tour visit recommendations based on our existing travel itinerary and added some additional stops during the day. Bruce's service and help was exceptional and surpassed our expectations. The actual tour was no different.
Bruce's tour was a mixture of comedy, history, and education.
Bruce met us in the morning and provided transportation for the day. We stopped at many locations, including Midhope, Blackness Castle, Cairnpapple Hill, Doune Castle, Culross, the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Bruce's quick wit and historic knowledge kept us engaged throughout it all.
Bruce was a critical link between the past and present throughout our day. Bruce provided great food for thought and reflection related to how Scotland's history affected the history of the United States and world. Bruce both informed and challenged us to think and see the world in a larger context. For this we are grateful. But don't get me wrong, it was a blast and Bruce is exceptionally funny. Four thumbs up from us. Thanks Bruce!

Bruce picked us up early in the morning and we started the day at stirling castle. Bruce talks about Scotlands history pretty much non-stop. As he drives along he trys to get a feeling for what you really would like to see to plan out the day. It was great, I have been on a few tours of various types over the years and I have to say going with a personal tour guide and one as knowledgeable as Bruce is a must do experience you will not regret. Sadly only had time for one day, but what a day.
Thanks Bruce

What a unique experience! Planning our big trip to Scotland, my husband and I are history buffs and had been following Bruce's videos on youtube for some time. I reached out to Bruce via email to inquire about a one-day personalized tour, and he responded right away. Once we were in Scotland, Bruce picked us up at our vacation rental in Edinburgh, and we had quite the day ratting around the countryside. Glenleven, Perth, Scone, Outlander highlights, accompanied by Bruce's funny and charming deep dive into Scottish history. My husband is a home beer brewer, so we closed the day with a visit to a craft brewery near Stirling owned by a friend of Bruce's, where we had a great time talking beer and politics. I just can't say enough about our experience - if you have the chance to take a tour with Bruce, you will not regret it!

Bruce took us around Scotland to explore sites related to Macbeth, and it was the best day of my whole trip! Bruce was friendly, funny, and more informative than I could have ever hoped for. We visited places I never would have found (or even known about) on my own, and he even modified the tour on the fly when my son told him about his interest in Roman history. Climbing Dunsinane Hill to look down to Birnam Wood while Bruce told us the real history of Macbeth is an experience I will never forget. Bruce is a born storyteller, and the next time I'm in Scotland, I won't hesitate to book another tour!

What more could you ask for! Bruce is personable enough to spend a day with, knowledgeable enough to spend a year with. He has the unique ability to blend humor with deep insights about the historical monuments and figures featured on the tours. His passion for Scotland and its history are always evident, and his nuanced interpretations both lend depth to the usual tourist sights and stand up to scrutiny on returning home (i.e., he knows his what he's talking about!) . He tailored our experience -- the sites, the historical topics -- to our curiosity and he shared inexhaustible details in the course our our day. We could not be happier with the time we spent under his friendly care. If Bruce asks you whether you'd like to try mountain roads, the answer is YES.

Highly recommended. Bruce is the best. He’s nice, funny and passionate about his country. He knows everything about Scotland’s history and will make wherever you want to go a special trip. My wife and I had an off-day from a high-end tour and took advantage by spending the day with Bruce. He provided some historical background about things we had seen with the tour so deepened our appreciation for it (and the Murrays). Anyway, I would binge watch him before you go to Scotland and then plan a day with him. It’s not cheap but it was like having an historian, entertainer and funny Scottish friend all wrapped up in one. Memorable.

Bruce arranged a custom trip for our 6 person group. We all had a great time, he is very knowledgeable and funny in his presentations and gave us a glimpse of Scotlands past along with commentary on its current status. There is so much to see and do in Scotland that no one-day trip could possibly cover it all but he put together a well-rounded trip that included a not-to-be-missed tour of Stirling Castle; a couple of Outlander sites; and even a distillery tour. He did all of this while working around a rainy day that could otherwise have been pretty miserable…his presentation was entertaining enough to keep our teenaged kids engaged as well as communicating the important points of history. His vehicle was clean and comfortable and he’s a safe driver. His love of Scotland shines through all of his stories.

My friend was visiting Edinburgh for a week, so we had limited time and a lot on our agenda. Bruce designed a bespoke tour for us that took us from Rosslyn Chapel to Midhope Castle to Stirling Castle, Doune Castle and Culross. We enjoyed his quick wit, Scottish humor, his ability to weave a yarn and mostly his depth of historical and cultural knowledge.
Anyone would be lucky to be able to schedule a tour with him.
