About
Eden Rock Edinburgh is one of the largest climbing walls in the UK and the largest bouldering wall in Scotland. We have climbs for all ages and abilities, and a kids' area with castles, caves & slides! There's an eco-friendly cafe too, serving hot and cold drinks and snacks. Our Induction Sessions are ideal for trying climbing for the first time and we also run a range of kids' classes - just give us a call to book!

Had an overnight stay with my wife. Fantastic stay, great value in a great location. Would highly recommend. The only negative and it was the only one,the room had no air conditioning and got a little warm through the night.

First time bouldering and all the family had a great time. Our induction was given by Erika who was friendly and knowledgable. Erika explained everything well and ensured we all (me, partner and kids ages 12 &6) understood. Although apprehensive beforehand, youngest loved the kids area, gave it a go and was very proud of herself by the end. The whole family enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back soon (12 yr old asking to go tomorrow!) Very nice facilities and cafe. Parking available. All staff very friendly and approachable. Whole place had a lovely friendly vibe. Can’t wait to return.

It was our first rock climb and Emma made our hour truly amazing. She showed us all the safety features in a fun way and it set the tone for the hour . We were only encouraged and never pushed to do anything we did not want to do. Extremely professional set up . Highly recommend this for family and kids we will be back

We've been here lots for climbing with the kids but we're so delighted by our birthday party today! 19 X 6 year olds had the most fantastic time climbing and the staff were absolutely fantastic!
They spent most of the hour in the kids bit which has a cool castle and a slide, and groups of 5 were taken out to the big bit which they loved!
We would not hesitate booking here again!
Ps if you're having a solo party, I'd probably suggest going for max 14 kids!

Took my daughter on another “daily fix” of bouldering to Eden Rock, Edinburgh.
It is huge with stacks of climbing space. The whole place is very spacious and laid out well.
Particularly good for beginners like me as there are plenty of easy routes to get you climbing and not feel intimidated. Really good feature, I think.
Staff very friendly and cafe good as well. We are definitely coming back again and plan to organise future climbing weekends.

I have visited Eden Rock Edinburgh only once before today and got great instruction from Keira. Both times have been a great experience, today my induction with Hal was very informative, I look forward to visiting many more times.

My two kids and their friends went to Eden Rock in Loanhead over the weekend and had a fantastic time as they also do. The instructor was great with them and kept them entertained for an hour. I'm not a climber but my children and very interested in this and they provide a great kids hour of instruction. Highly Recommended.

First time at Eden Rock today taking my wee boy (5). Erin was really encouraging and thorough giving me the confidence to look after the wee man and also enjoy testing myself with the climbing. Luke summed it up with “that was really fun”.

Great route setting, lots of space, a kids area, decent shop and cafe - Eden Rock Edinburgh is just the bouldering wall that the East Coast has needed for a long time.
The staff are friendly and they have some really good instructors on the go.
I enjoy the monthly yoga class, and generally just hanging out with a bunch of decent, like-minded people.

Did an induction here a while back as a beginner then visited a couple of other climbing gyms to compare before writing this review. The place is huge, never feels too busy even with loads of people in, all the staff are super friendly enthusiastic and helpful, there is always something fun going on and new problems are put up regularly, all well marked and easy to understand the grade you are looking at as well as where to progress to. The gym is spacious enough to warm up in and well equipped.
The holds are kept clean, the mats are firm but comfy to fall on not like older gyms where your foot sinks in and it feels like you might roll your ankle. Also the shop is well equipped with good prices and knowledgeable helpful people behind the desk.
This is my favourite place to climb indoors and I go whenever I can, I wish I lived closer.
