I want to preface this by saying that the trip was professionally run and our tour guide was helpful and informative. With that said, I would not recommend taking the Loch Ness Hunter tour during the pandemic. My friend and I were the only group who consistently wore our masks on the bus, so we were in extremely close proximity to unmasked passengers throughout the 12-hour journey. People were coughing and sneezing in the bus throughout the day. This was extremely upsetting, given that Scotland's mask rules and Haggis Adventures' own rules stated that passengers would need to be wearing masks. I asked our tour guide to remind everyone that masks were required, but after a brief apologetic reminder he then allowed people to get on and off the bus without masks for the rest of the day. My friend and I felt incredibly unsafe but had no way to return to Edinburgh other than remaining on the tour. We will be taking LFD tests throughout the week. I appreciate how difficult running this business must be during Covid, but I would never have booked this tour had I known how lax the enforcement of Scotland's mask rules would be throughout this really long day, and I would have appreciated more transparency about the safety of the trip.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent tour with us. Firstly, I am glad to hear that you were impressed by your tour guide. Our guides are the most talented and passionate story-tellers who love to showcase the very best of the Scottish Highlands. However, I am really saddened to hear about your experience on tour. I can assure you that the safety and well-being of passengers and staff has always been our priority. We have worked hard on our COVID-19 protocols to reflect this. Passengers are asked to sanitise their hands every time they board the coach, and the coach is cleaned at regular intervals during the tour. In addition to this we conduct temperature checks prior to departure and masks are required to be worn at all times on board. Passengers are advised of this at the time of booking and before they depart on their tour. The Guide also wears a mask and includes these protocols as part of their as part of their safety talk before and during the tour. While it is our drivers’ duty to enforce these guidelines, it is ultimately the responsibility of each individual to make sure that they are doing their part. We also recognise that some of our passengers may have medical exemptions, so this is taken into account as well. We do take this matter very seriously and will be bringing it to the attention of the senior management team. In addition, we have been making sure that our procedures are aligned with the latest government guidelines. I’m truly disappointed to hear that there were passengers not adhering to these rules. I have raised this issue with the senior management team so that we can continue to implement the highest standard of safety on tour. Kind regards, Paula

We had a great time on the trip, far exceeding our expectations as we had never been on one before ! Tom was a great guide, kind and helpful with great storytelling skills! He had a great playlist of Scottish music that he shared with us. We saw so much of the Highlands on the trip and learned a lot. The Loch Ness tour is well worth it! Lovely lunch too.

We did the Loch Ness and Glencoe day tour from Edinburgh with Scot and had such a fantastic day. Scot really gave us a great insight into all the sights we saw and looked after us all really well and everything was COVID safe. Great intro to Scotland left us wanting more. Thank you Scot and the team.
