We booked with Intrepidus for a three day canoeing with wild camping on Loch Awe. The trip from start to finish was great. Our Instructor Bob was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed his company and instruction. I would definitely book with Ross at Intrepidus again.

Me and my brother in law went on this trip with our sons who are 20, 18 and 17. We were on holiday with family for a week stopping in the centre of Edinburgh. The trip was a great alternative to all the stuff you can do in the City. We were part of a party of 10, picked up from Waverley St Station at 930am. About 1 hour journey to the site in Dollar. Got kitted up and then had a safety briefing. Our guides were Ross and Mikey. Both were great. Clear instruction and we all felt very safe. We were in the canyon for about 3 and half hours in total. We experienced, jumps, slides, abseils and scrambling. Finished the canyoning mid afternoon, grabbed a sandwich in Dollar then back to Edinburgh for circa 4.30pm. Really good fun and if you are looking for a bit of adventure away from the City I would highly recommend this.

Fantastic fun experience wild camping and canoeing for 5 days down the River Spey! Bob was extremely knowledgeable and professional yet lighthearted and easygoing, happy to fit in around what time we start, when and where to eat etc. The River Spey was spectacular to canoe down with tricky rapids at times, we are beginners but Bob got us up and running very quickly. I can't recommend this company highly enough, replied promptly to all my initial emails, and for what we did good value for money. My 2 teenagers loved every minute of the trip, it really boosted their confidence and love for the outdoors.

Thank you so much to both Mikey and Ross for providing us with such an exceptional experience. From start to finish we were guided by friendly, personable and skillful guides. The pick up from Central Edinburgh was a brilliant start (given both members of the party were reliant on public transport). A short drive through the picturesque Scottish lowlands found us arriving at the start point where all necessary equipment was provided and a brief of the days activity was drawn out alongside a safety and equipment briefing. After these necessaries, THE FUN BEGAN! Jumping, sliding, scrabbling and abseiling ensued. The canyon was picturesque and the waters tumultuous, the perfect mix of raw nature. Mikey and Ross acted with expert professionalism throughout the adventure enabling us to feel safe and fully enjoy the whole experience. Thank you so much for such a brilliant time!

Gordon took us “hill walking” at Ben Ledi and Ben Y Vrackie . The two hikes were absolutely breath taking with views of lakes, greenery, and mountains and just the right challenge and exercise for us. Gordon was delightful to spend the days with and full of knowledge of the area and nature. We spent two days touring the city of Edinburgh and two days on these hikes and it was a perfect balance.

Our recent trip on the Scottish Three Peaks was outstanding! Climbing the three highest hills of Scotland was a thrilling experience, made even better by our fantastic guide, Stu, and our great driver, also named Stu. Their expertise and dedication were evident throughout the journey.
We were a group of five friends, and everything was well-planned. A highlight was our guide Stu scouting the routes in advance to find the best approaches for us. This level of preparation was truly impressive and ensured our trek was both safe and enjoyable.
Highly recommend this adventure for anyone looking to experience Scotland's natural beauty with knowledgeable and dedicated guides.

I had an incredible time hiking up Ben Vrackie with Ross. The other group scheduled for this outing cancelled last-minute, so I was incredibly grateful they still took me out on a solo trip! Everything was seamless including communication, pick-up, logistics, etc. Ross was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the plants, wildlife, and history of the area. We even stopped for celebratory ice cream in Pitlochry afterward.
Ben Vrackie was pretty epic and I lucked out with amazing weather and views from the top. This hike has it all and is generally considered more scenic and less crowded than some of the other popular peaks in the Highlands.
I highly recommend Intrepidus and would definitely book with them again in the future! This is the place to go if you want more serious adventuring.

After an easy email comms booking. We went canyoning with Mikey, David and wee Alex. All equipment was provided. We couldn’t commend the staff highly enough. They were knowledgeable, friendly, safety focused and very able. We were a mixed ability group and they made sure we were comfortable and understood what we needed to do to have fun and stay safe. This was a day trip for my partner who is an NHS key worker and has worked so hard during the pandemic and I haven’t seen him have so much fun. A genuine thanks from the both of us.

Just spent a fantastic 4 days in the company of Ross and Peter climbing the three peaks with our family, including the dog! They were really perfect hosts - professional when they needed to be, always smiling and great fun, brilliant at distracting the naughties, and kept me going up and down when this 53 year old body wanted to lie down!! Can’t recommend them and the company highly enough and will be back for some more adventures if I can start moving ever again !!

We had such a great time hiking up Ben Ledi with Gordon, our guide. Gordon suggested a last minute change of hiking trails based on weather systems in the area, we are glad we listened! Our hike up Ben Ledi was challenging but mostly enjoyed with sunny skies and only short bursts of rain. Gordon was friendly and informative and helped us learn about the surrounding area’s history and nature. It was a fantastic day that we hope to do again one day soon!

Hello. All our activities start from Edinburgh but we go away from the city for the day on one of our mini buses.
We have enhanced safety procedures in place to minimise the risk of covid-19.

Hello Giedre, we would recommend a coasteering trip as you have a 9 year old. Canyoning would be suitable for the other two but it might be a little extreme for someone under 10.
