The market has been open every Sunday from 10am-5pm from 11th September 2011, and trades year round. It's a foodie heaven and hosts the best street food in Edinburgh, so whether you're looking for something special for supper, a continental style lunch, or planning a dinner party - the Stockbridge Market will have some new produce for you to try. How about some olives as an aperitif, quality meat or fish with locally grown vegetables, followed by a selection of French cheeses and nutty brown bread, and finish things off with some traditional crepe suzettes or 'latest craze' macaroons or home baked cakes.....Or local jams, cakes and lots of crafts to take home as pressies!!! Eat, meet, great or treat there's something here for everyone, a truely wonderful experience

The sun was out yesterday, which meant this place was very busy, always a good sign when people are queuing 10/15 deep to get some of the food. The stalls often change, so worthwhile going down more than once. We've tried a few bits and...More

Drove around 2 or 3 times, not very big but stalls looked interesting. Only street parking but as market is so popular you could not find a space!

A nice small market with lots of food, cheese and some good music. Just been here once, but the vibe is so good especially because the sun was out the other day. A nice place to spend time with family/friends on a Sunday afternoon

Fabulous Sunday market. Lots of stalls selling a variety of yummy food. Also stalls selling a great selection of soaps and other Scottish gifts. Really good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit and don’t miss Steampunk coffee sold from an old VW van. Enjoy !

Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement
