Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our wee party of runners from Lancashire slogged our way up the "hospitable" hills of Holyrood parkrun on a sunny Saturday and just a few hours later were rewarded with an entertaining, enlightening and simply excellent tour of Edinburgh led by our amazing guide Moray. We were treated to an afternoon of discovery and adventure like no other where fascinating historical information merged with amusing tales of Edinburgh and its citizens in times gone by which really brought the city to life. We explored narrow alleyways and beautiful buildings, saw magnificent monuments and heard spellbinding tales - and there were some beautiful gaelic songs too! We loved our tour - Moray was a wonderful guide and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable and unique afternoon. We truly felt we had gone way beyond the usual tourist experience to get a real sense of the people, the history and the heartbeat of this beautiful city. A huge thank you to Moray for a wonderful tour which we will never forget.

Moray gave my literary tour group a truly superb day exploring places connected with Robert Louis Stevenson. He had relevant quotes, funny stories, entry into very special places for us, and he was so informative and such a delight to be with. I wish I could do all the tours he offers and cannot recommend too highly.

We did an Art Deco tour with Moray which took us to several hidden gems from the 1930s around Edinburgh. Moray is very knowledgeable and friendly and we were grateful that he fitted us in at short notice. We learned a lot about Edinburgh in the 20s and 30s and saw some gorgeous buildings we would have otherwise missed. He arranged convenient pick up and drop off points. Highly recommended!

If you really want to see some of the best views you'll ever see in Edinburgh - fancy a bit of hiking and nature - this is the tour for you. Murray is exceptional. Not only is he warm and welcoming - but his knowledge of the landscape and Scottish culture and history is fabulous. I can't say enough about this tour.

Moray was very flexible in tailoring the Art Deco tour for our party of five, picking us up at the hotel. He is very affable and extremely knowledgeable about Edinburgh in general and Art Deco in particular. We visited a variety of buildings, some of which we were able to see inside. The tour finished with a great afternoon tea in the Maybury. An entertaining and informative tour.

Murray was amazing! He is born and raised in Edinburgh and was full of historical information. In addition, he provided a very thorough display of Scottish culture- even played some Gaelic music for me in the car while driving to the various points of interest. During the tour you are taken to a great hotel where you are served a beverage of your choice and homemade scones! The tour of Gilmerton Cove is a must see!!!
Thank you Murray for a wonderful 1/2 day tour

This is not for the faint of heart but well worth it even if you go up the smallest of the hills. I lucked out and did one of the mini cooper rides and only went up a smaller hill.

The hill walk tour was very good. I learned a lot about the history and geology of Edinburgh. It was interesting to see Edinburgh from all sides. The tour was well organized and we went at a pace I was comfortable with. I was able to get pictures of the city that most people never see. Great job
