Madge was a wonderful guide, both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I had been to Edinburgh before but my mother had not. For her, it was the perfect intro to the city. For me, it was a great refresher and I learned some new fun facts. I would recommend this tour!
For anyone nervous about a walking tour, this really was a mild walk. Edinburgh does have a lot of hills but overall the walk was an easy pace and very manageable for people that aren't big walkers.

I have done multiple walking tours in Edinburgh and enjoyed this one the most. Gains has not only an extensive (!!!) knowledge about Edinburgh’s history but also delivered them is an engaging storyteller way that was entertaining but not tacky. Two hours flew by, you will walk a lot (and sometimes speed walk when you yet again stop to take a picture) but he always asked if anyone had any questions. Very much recommend.

We really enjoyed this tour of Edinburgh New town and Dean village with our guide David. We visited places less frequented by tourists and learnt much about this area’s history and community. Packed with information and would highly recommend.

Our family truly enjoyed this tour. Great overview of the history of Edinburgh with a highly knowledgeable tour guide! Given that the tour is 2 hours, wear comfortable walking shoes.

Absolutely loved this tour with the effervescent Madge!! This was my last tour in Edinburgh and was a fantastic way to round off my last hours in Scotland. I would highly recommend this tour. Madge is incredibly knowledgeable and communicated her knowledge incredibly well with everyone in the group.

Emma was Informative and entertaining. Good overview of Edinburgh history and walk was a great pace. We even had a dog on our tour.

We did this tour on our first day in Edinburgh which was an excellent way to start our stay. We were most fortunate to have Emma as our tour guide. Emma was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about Edinburgh. The length of tour, content and pace were great. We learned a lot from Emma and found her very personable with a good sense of humour. Highly recommend this tour to others.

Gains was a knowledgeable and pleasant guide who led us through some of the most beautiful greenways in Edinburgh and pointed out key locations and the General histories so background of the New Town. A high point of our visit.

What a fantastic tour with Local Eyes. We were a group of six women touring the UK and our holiday was truly enriched through both a walking tour with David and a four day driving tour with Moira. David was knowledgable, enthusiastic and truly loved his work. Having varied interests and 'must sees' amongst the group, he was able to be flexible and ensured we all saw and experienced our interests. I would thoroughly recommend David. Following our walking tour, we were picked up up from or B&B by Moira for out 4 day tour. What a tour guide! We all hit off really well and from the moment we buckled our seatbelts we were regaled with the geography, history and facts and stories of wonderful Scotland. As we sang our way through the countryside (Moira is a great singer) she magically weaved the story of the areas we visited, ensuring that we knew the differences between the facts and fiction of "Outlander" (lol, we are all big fans!) Moira was one on the best tour guides eva! Thanks Moira.
As a company, Local Eyes was excellent. Helen organised out tours with efficacy and flexibility and because we were a little unorganised she kindly booked dinner reservations for us each night. Communication was was also regular, clear and informative. Thanks Helen. I would thoroughly recommend Local Eyes, David and Moira if you are thinking of heading off to beautiful Edinburgh.
