Kat is a Scottish tour guide, based in Edinburgh with a special interest in Scottish history, film tourism and Harry Potter.
After completing a degree in tourism, she felt compelled to share her passion for Scotland and it's capital, founding Travel Kat Tours in 2018.
She's walked the cobbled streets ever since. Her tours cater for small, intimate groups and her most popular attraction is the one hour Harry Potter themed walking tour around Old Edinburgh.

Kat was amazing and very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and Harry Potter. We only had one true Harry Potter fan but we all enjoyed the tour. Would highly recommend

Kat was wonderful. Despite a rainy day she made the entire experience special and even had wands for photos near a certain famous grave! She gave great recommendations for local used bookstores and was a fantastic tour guide! HP lovers should definitely enjoy her tour! Plus many who don’t live HP!

Katrina is very knowledgeable and friendly. She provided lots of opportunities to ask questions and take pictures and even provided wands for a photo op. I highly recommend doing a tour with her.

The Harry Potter tour with Kat is simply magical!!! Within an hour you really dig deep into the saga and into JK Rowling’s writing process, in connection with the history of the city itself and its fascinating misteries. You can tell that Kat is very passionate about taking people around and talk witchcraft at Hogwarts, plus she is very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend the tour to any HP fans but also to people who just want to approach the saga! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Kat is super passionate about HP, she literally has a masters in the subject. I was lucky to have a private tour (sheer luck) and it was totally worth it. Kat also clicked my photos (although I look a bit fat in them, but that’s not her fault).
I highly recommend this tour to all HP fans visiting Edinburgh. Especially if you’re a books over movies kind of fan, skip the expensive studio tours and do this real, authentic experience and see Edinburgh through JK Rowling’s eyes.

This tour was terrific!! Kat was so entertaining and knowledgeable on not only Harry Potter but also the city!! My wife is a bigger Harry Potter fan than I and I really enjoyed the tour, I was entertained and engaged the whole time! Highly recommend doing this if you have time while visiting!!

Kat was amazing!! So much knowledge and fun facts in addition to Harry Potter. It moved at a great pace. And we saw a lot of areas we would not have known about on our own. My 11 year old loved the Harry Potter part. My 15 year old and husband and I loved it all. Big thumbs up!

We expected a corny Harry Potter tour - giving us something to do in the rain. Instead we got a tour guide knowledgeable in Edinburgh history and she made it fun throwing in some fun facts about what where how why JK Rowling might have .... really well worth your time!
