About
My name is Sujai and I came to Edinburgh 13 years ago for just a year initially, but kept staying on because it's the kind of place that draws you in. I have a PhD in Evolutionary Biology but am fascinated by all branches of Science and am always looking for the stories behind the events and discoveries: the people, the context, and the challenges they faced.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was wonderful! Sujai is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable when it comes to sharing stories about scientists associated with Edinburgh. We loved how passionate he was and also all the props that he made to help us remember all these important scientists. It's a tour not to be missed!

This was an excellent tour by a knowledgeable guide covering Edinburgh like you have never seen before! So much science history within just a few blocks. As a scientist myself I’m impressed. Thanks!

What an amazing experience! So many good sights and fun facts! I’ll never not look at the sidewalk or notice the figureheads on buildings from now on.
Sujai is a wonderful guide with a thoughtful and curious mind and funny to boot! This walk has so much interesting content - I’m going to have to come back to many of the museums and locations to explore and learn more. It’s a wonderful way to see Edinburgh through the lens of historical and scientific development. Sujai elevates all of it with many great stories and inspiring delivery - he even sings!
Such a fabulous experience!

I learned so much about the science that took place in Edinburgh from Sujai on this tour. It was exciting to feel the density of the history in a few blocks - we didn't need to walk very far at all to cover centuries of contributions and then ended up thinking about geological time scales at the end. I work in the city centre and walk past some of these places almost every day but Sujai showed me another layer (sometimes literally under my feet)!

Arranged as part of a visit to the city, the Tour began at the national museum. From the moment we met Sujai to the very end he had everyones attention with his endless knowledge and enthusiastic delivery. Taking in a huge variety of places, the tour looks at how the people of Edinburgh have influenced the world of science (Scientific knowledge not required).
Sujai has a unique delivery style that has the group laughing, joining in and having a wonderful tour. With toilet stops on the way and and his visable time stick guiding the group, the tour is definately one not to be missed.

We did the tour on a lovely sunny day which no doubt helped but Sujai was a great tour leader - really knowledgeable and accessible. Lots of 'oh I never knew that moments'. Definitely something a bit different from the usual history tours. We met outside the National Museum then circled back there for a rest stop and a bit of a sit down before going on to Dynamic Earth. It's not too strenuous but wear comfy shoes!

Amazing scientific walking tour of the city. There definitely isn't a need for a science background to understand and appreciate the tour, just a curious mind! We went all around the main city and the tour helped me see some of Edinburgh's "major attractions" in a totally different way. Definitely recommend.
