My friend and I stopped in on a Saturday evening. We ended up staying to close because the band was playing fun covers. The liquor choices were somewhat limited, but drinks were pretty much what you'd expect from an average bar.

Lively wee place with live music, not over bearing - entered by going down a set of stair as it is below street level. Enjoyed our drink in here

The atmosphere was good, bar staff were prompt and attentive. Not a great deal of seating but a good sized area for people wanting to dance. Band on was good. Music played in between bands was also well chosen.

It was fun always but last night was up there, what a band. Lots of fun good music, they had everyone jamming till morning and the people I met, were brilliant. Good place to be.

Live music every night. We didn't have dinner here, just a whiskey. Seemed like a popular place for locals; more of a younger crowd. Nice place to stop for a night cap since it was close to out hotel. Recommend a stop in.

We found this place whilst looking on trip adviser for a live music venue in Edinburgh for a Sunday night. We were slightly sceptical when we first walked in, the staff weren't sure what band were coming on but we decided to wait the hour...More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

Hi We are going for our Christmas night out travelling from Leeds and I am wondering if we need to buy tickets, as there are 17 of us. I have emailed and tried to call and haven't been able to get hold of anyone. If someone from Whistle's could contact me, I would greatly appreciated it. Thanks Laura
