I've been here twice - once last year, for just drinking. Recently, I came back for a tour. Based on both experiences, I'll say that unless you're relatively unexperienced with Scotch Whisky, skip the tour and go right to the tasting bar. The shop is...More

My husband and I opted for the silver pass. It came with a whiskey glass, 2 samples of whiskey, and an amazing tour of how whiskey is made. Prior to the tour, we hung out in the amber restaurant located downstairs from the main entrance....More

Unexpectedly started with a whisky-themed carousel and introduction into whisky making. Staff is pofessional, whisky collection unbelievable. Interesting for both whisky enthusiasts and for ones who aren't. I took gold tour and my girlfriend silver, took the main tour etc together, difference was that at...More

I booked a Platinum experience for my partner for our anniversary, overall we were both sadly disappointed. Our guide was nice enough and informative but there were too many people in our group and at times we felt hurried along. After the barrel ride we...More

Hi Helen, Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience with us last week. We’ve looked into the matter and you’re right – there was a wee mix-up with the whiskies initially but this was clarified at the time by your guide, (it’s highly unusual...More

The tour was great, definitely reccomend 'The Gold Tour' as you get to taste all 5 (the standard package you taste 1), and just makes it feel a little more special. Really friendly service, I cant remember the girls name but she was really great....More

The first part of this experience is very cheesy with the whisky barrel ride. However, once you get to the part of the tour with a tour guide it is worth it. You get to learn about the different regions of whisky production and see...More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

Hi Liz, yes that's no problem to upgrade to Gold on the day - you can either do it when you arrive to collect your tickets, or at the bar after your tour. Hope that helps!
