Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was in Scotland for a few days and wanted to do the highlands and loch ness in one go, and this was exactly it! If you have to take one tour in Scotland I'd make it this one.

The tour guide Michael was excellent. He talked about all the things we were seeing well and went through the main episodes of history (Wallace, the Jacobites, massacre of MacDonald clan etc). Good storyteller and very friendly.

The stops were perfectly paced and picked. Started with a nice loch, saw Glencoe (really gorgeous) and Loch Ness.

Would do again and well priced compared to competitors.

Travelled with the Loch Ness bus company yesterday. Had an amazing day. Our guide and driver were Ricky and Toni and what a wealth of information was given during the course of the day. The weather was against us with strong wind, rain and snow but we made the most of it. If I could just leave one criticism it was that the bus needed more warmth and this is not aimed at the tour guide or driver but perhaps needs to be looked at when the weather is this bad.

What a brilliant day! We were a little unsure on the trip from some reviews of other companies and then we came across lochnessbus.com and decided to go for it! So glad we did, we had an early start but booking and meeting the bus was super easy. From the moment we set off, our tour guide/driver, Michael was absolutely brilliant. He had a brilliant manner and superb knowledge, with some fantastic stories and more than a few laughs along the way ! He also made the trip really relaxed and stress free. Although it’s a long trip with regular stops for toilets, refreshments and picture opportunities at no time did it feel as though we had been on the bus too long and equally the amount of time at each stop was more than adequate and we didn’t feel rushed at all. I would absolutely recommend this tour we enjoyed every minute.

Overall, we really enjoyed this trip. Michael is a great guide who made the 12hr trip fly by. Not only does he have a great taste in Scottish music and a cracking kilt, he also has a vast number of stories about the local history.

An excellent way to see a tiny snippet of the Highland delights! Obviously there is a fair amount of driving but this is broken up well by the stops and you get some really stunning views out the window - despite the rain. Dress up warm!!

Hello,
We visited Edinburgh city and nearby places but we did not plan for Lochness thinking it was far for us. Later, our friend from Nepal highly suggested us to have a look and we made a kind of last moment decision to go there. It feels like the best decision made by going there as we could never see the highlands and different aspects of Scotland without going there. We really enjoyed the place and landscape. Thanks to Lochnessbus.com and many many thanks to Aleix (Our tour guide) and a good friend. He is really nice, caring, supportive and an excellent guide. I really got to know a lot of things because of him. Thanks.

We had a wonderful 3 day tour with lochnessbus .right from communication with the team to the drive through the beautiful Scotland, every was Hassel free. Buses were very comfortable. The icing on the cake was our guide and driver Michael, who did a really fabulous job. He was a like a friend throughout, very accommodating and cooperative, esp when we accidentally left our phone at one of the spots., He communicated with the authorities and ensured that we get our phone back..
Thoroughly recommended, esp if u have a witty and humourous Michael as guide.
Thanks guys.

PS: Michael is a great photographer as well :-D

Had a wonderful time on the Lochness tour today. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Leo our tour guide was full of fun and interesting facts and historical accounts. The music was a lovely addition with some beautiful Scottish folk tunes too. The driver was excellent and made for a smooth journey. It was more amazing than I could ever have imagined. Thank you all!

This tour was the best decision that we did throughout our entire stay in Edinburgh.Book it quick as the promotional price won't last forever.

It was incredible getting to see the Highlands and Lochs. On the way we did several stops to take in all the beauty of Scotland, took pictures with lakes, scottish cows and The Three Sisters, one of the most scenic places in the Scottish Highlands. The view is one to remember, between the best I've seen in my life!!
Than we got to do a lovely optional cruise of Loch Ness (is well worth it, beautiful nature, lots of photos opportunities and interesting stories said in a funny way by the cruise staff) and were able to spend an hour stretching our legs in Pitlochry a beautiful small town. Our guide pointed us the best whisky ice-cream that is not to be missed.

Our tour guide Bernie was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and super entertaining, making the 12 hours day trip much more easy than expected. By the end of the day I knew more about Scotland (myths, facts, traditions, history, music, food) than any geography lesson learned in school. Bus was comfortable and the tour is well organized with a good balance of time spent in bus & outdoors.

What an amazing experience of Scotland...we will surely be back. Thank you.

It was a nice daytrip from edinburgh but would have been better if you actually spend a night probably in fort augustus so that you have enough time to see the place. Coz i felt like it was a rush trip. Michael though, our guide was very informative & knowledgeable with the places’ history. He’s quiet funny too.

So as the tour says its 12 hrs, it covers something like 400 miles. The scenery is amazing even on a wet day. The tour guide was knowledgeable of the area and played music that was connected to the locations we were going through as they drove.
The nessie part is an extra £13.50 per adult and £8 for a child but a nice experience.

Just a warning- There are 3 toilet breaks with no toilet onboard so thats on average every 4 hrs.

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately there is not way to get to Loch Ness through the Highlands in shorter time. 315 miles to be exact is the minimum distance to get to Loch Ness and back to Edinburgh.
