Fantastic, funny and really spooky experience. Michael our tour guide was exceptional as his amazing enthusiastic storytelling yet sinister tone at times really made the whole tour come alive (pardon the pun) I normally don't mind anything scary but the vaults were so sinister and this is a tour that everyone should make time to do if you want something different and just a little bit heart racing

The underground vaults were disappointing and the tour did not warrant the 50 minutes we spent down in the vaults listening to rather boring ghost stories. The vaults could be staged to show the events the tour guide was talking about, such as body snatchers, drinking den, gambling den etc. The tour guide Fay was extremely professional, however, the guide needs far more material to work with to make the experience come to life.

Hi Gavin, Thanks for joining us on tour, we're glad you could visit the vaults with us! While most people would rate our tours five-stars, we do understand that they may not be for everyone and I'm sorry that the tour wasn't to your tastes. Thank you also for your suggestions and sharing your ideas. The Blair Street Underground Vaults are a historic site and due to their historic significance we are very careful to preserve them as they are. Any such staging may also remove from the authentic experience we aim to provide. Glad, however, to hear that Fay did a great job and we'll be sure to pass your kind words on. All the best, Kim

Margaret Ann, our tour guide, made our walk into the dark underground of old Edinburg fun, informative and haunting. Enjoyed it. If you want a different experience of Scottish history is the tour for you. (Note: wear stable shoes, the ground is uneven.)

Margaret-Ann guided us on a thrilling tour of the underground and spooked us with her story telling. She was very engaging and theatrical and told us thrilling stories of ghosts and hauntings. The only thing that would have made this tour perfect is if it was dark outside. But that’s our fault for visiting in May :)
