In a town where there is a lot of focus on kings and queens and palaces this is a down to Earth presentation of how the poor masses of Edinburgh lived. One of the best museums I have ever seen.

I really enjoyed this wee museum. In the midst of the royal mile tackiness you can easily walk by and miss it but, please, watch for it. Wonderful insight into the lives of ordinary people...working class...this who actually made Edinburgh the amazing place it is...but...More

Came here whilst on a mini break . There are roughly 3 floors and all are quite interesting with variety of different scenarios and work life . It's good because it's a free museum however donations are welcome . I would recommend 30 minutes here...More

The People's Story Museum is a free museum located on the Famous Royal Mile. This Museum explains the story of the working people of Edinburgh from the 18th century to the 20th century, very interesting museum. Jolly Chriss.
