Absolutely brilliant, and would recommend over Cineworld/Odeon every time. Shows most big releases, unlike many independent cinemas. Tickets cost £10.95 (realistically, they're £11.65 due to a 70p online booking fee per ticket - if you're planning on seeing a film in the first week or two after release you'll need to book), which is marginally more expensive than Cineworld (£10),... Thank you Dominion for an amazing time. You make going to the cinema a real occasion and I wish I lived nearer so that I could go more often!

I got a great Groupon for this and it looked like the perfect occasion - I had heard that the cinema very good and pretty expensive. It was absolutely amazing: leather couches, little tables, great screen and sound resolution, huge bar (snacks, soft and alcoholic drinks, ice cream available), everything very well decorated - all very chic, I loved it!

This is, without doubt, the best cinema I have ever visited. Why cram yourself into normal, uncomfortable cinema seats, when you can curl up on a sofa in front of the big screen? It's a bit more expensive than other places, but definitely worth it, especially with complementary Pringles in the bargain.

Screen 4, the smallest on offer but perhaps the most nicest. Each seat was an armchair with foot rest, as well as tables for food and drink. When entering the screen room we were escorted to our seats by a concierge and given a choice of Pringles. The screen was not the biggest, but suited the small room. The toilets... More

Whilst there is no denying the Dominion can't offer the range of movies that will be found at the various multi-plexes around town, there is no way the multi-plexes can match the experience you'll find at the Dominion. The seats and the huge amount of leg space available around them makes going to the cinema a pleasure again. The ability... More

The dominion is a family owned cinema with four screens. The main one (Gold 1) is fully equipped with reclining chairs in pairs of sofas. The cinema has been undergoing refurbishment and the screen image is now superbly sharp and clear. The staff are nice and very helpful and not at all like the crowd-herders you will find at the... So much more comfortable than ordinary cinemas: the reclining sofas make the film experience at the Dominion far superior to anywhere else in Edinburgh. If there's a mainstream film that you want to see, go and see it at the Dominion.

This was part our to do list in Edinburgh on a very special day. Couldn't have had a better day! The cinema is everything it promises to be. Comfortable sofas to fit two people along with solo sofas. Every sofa had an optional foot stool which made the experience even more comfortable. We watched Deadpool on a big screen with... More

The Dominion is the best cinema in Edinburgh, what's not to like, sofas to lounge on with footstools, no ones head stopping you watching the film, if you fancy a glass of wine while you watch, you can have that too, you get your pack of Pringles as you go into the screen room, love it , sit back, get...
