Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had lunch for a friend's birthday here and were very impressed. The restaurant is in a great location on the 8th floor of the building with great views in all directions. The menu is limited which is always a good sign of fresh produce and fresh cooking. The whiskies were delicious and can be bought in little curated groups of four. All in all a great experience.

Great fun and very informative. Rocky did a great job as our tour guide. And the views from the top floor of the distillery were amazing. Look forward to seeing their products in the States.

Celebrating your anniversary at the Port of Leith Distillery was a fantastic choice! The distillery’s tour is not only a journey through the intricate process of whisky making but also a delightful way to mark a special occasion.

It is easy to get from the city center to the Leith distillery by bus or tram.
You should definitely do both at Leith Destillery: A well-organized whisky tour with tasting. And afterwards, you should allow yourself time to complete the evening in the beautiful rooftop bar with its brilliant view and watch the sunset. The view over Endinburg is outstanding.
The quality of the dinner is excellent. Impressive, the length of the drinks menu, which is more of a book than a simple map. Whiskies are leading by far, which we really like.
Leith wants to sell top quality whiskies later and not just wait for the minimum time (3 years) for whiskies. A very strong challenge. But when the time comes, I have no doubt that the Leith whiskies will find their fans. Taste the delicious Newmakes at the tasting tour, then you will understand. The "Table Whisky" is a surprise, but find out for yourself :-).
Please note that you have to make a reservation for the tasting. But also as a precaution for the bar.
Many thanks again for the professional building and tasting tour, which is conducted with a lot of charm and warmth.
It is very impressive to visit a "vertical" distillery here. Something like this is very rare in the world. The advantages are well explained.
Don't forget to pick up something nice in the store. We bought a wonderful port wine and Table Whisky there and Leith nosing glasses.

Amazing tour of a new distillery in Edinburgh! This is one of the only vertical distilleries in the world. We got to try several different drinks and take a little home. Located next to the Royal Britannia, Port of Leith is in an awesome part of town. The views were incredible! Shoutout to our tour guide, Olivia, who was knowledgeable, kind, and funny! Can't wait to go back

We visited this distillery yesterday. We were greeted by our tour guide Matt. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Having visited several traditional distilleries it was interesting to visit this vertical one. As part of the tasting we were able to sample 5 different drinks and then got to sample some white port before leaving. All really nice. The views from the building are lovely.

Visited site on Friday 31st, walked all the way along the waterfront to be confronted with a closed sign, checked the website and Facebook to see if I had made an error, no notifications on either platform to indicate closure. If it had been a temporary closure then the sign should have indicated this, very poor show

Great tour with Olivia - she knew her stuff and made it fun and interesting as well as expertly dealing with a couple of gents who thought they knew more than she did!

Great vfm and would go back in a few years! Building is amazing and a pleasure to see it after hearing of the plans in 2020 when we did the Lind and Lime tour in the industrial unit just before Covid.
