After walking past many times, finally came in for dinner with my girlfriend, amazing food, lovely chilled feeling to the place, good artwork all around, and a very sweet owner that took care of us and made us feel at home. I would recommend it to everyone. Also for those that go vegetarian or have food intolerance you have options... More

The food was excellent! Lovely atmosphere and really nice service. Definitely worth a visit! I had the spring rolls and a beef soup and both were really tasty. Good authentic vietnamese food, give it a try!

Ate here for lunch earlier with a friend. Had a pho with beef while my friend had pho with fishcake. Both were so good that we decided to have our dinner there as well. For dinner, I had steamed rice with pork. It was just fabulous. The pork are tender and well seasoned. The rice is perfectly cooked. The owner... More

I have just been to this restaurant and i have to say foods here are amazing. I ordered phở and very happy to have the traditional flavour of my country in the UK which is nearly 10000km away from here. The manager here is the very nice lady. We were very warm welcomed and she tell me she will have... More

A lot of people walk past this restaurant /gallery and don't even know it's there. Been wanting to try it for a while and it's a great wee place. Very quirky. And the food is really tasty. Will be back to try out the different dishes.

I visited Edinburgh with my family for the first time, and we found this place by accident on our first day. We tried their Vietnamese coffee (first time in our lives!) which we really enjoyed. The owner was very nice and gave us the best service. Then we went back there to try their dishes on our last day in... More

I wanted something different for Lunch so decided to try this place. I was so pleased that I did as the food was amazing! If you are in the area then you should try it. They have a small menu but it includes veggie options!

Interesting setting with lots of fun things to look at; paintings, ornaments and drawings - most of it for sale. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We only had hot drinks (lotus tea and Vietnamese coffee) - they were nice. The food looked and smelt good, though we didn't dine.

Myself and my boyfriend have been meaning to visit here for ages. We finally went on Sunday. It was delicious. It was so friendly, fresh and welcoming. The fish cakes for starters, were AMAZING. We both had them, I then had the mushroom and tofu pho and my boyfriend the beef. Will definitely be visiting here again, and taking take... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theatres and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
