I cannot say enough about how amazing Cammy is! From the time we booked in 2018 to the time we were finally able to travel, Cammy had presented us with several iterations of our two days together. I can truly say, the real thing exceeded anything we could have imagined. Cammy has traveled the world with the military and performed for kings and queens, He is an expert on Robert Burns. Everywhere we went people recognized him and hugged him hello. We were treated to a VIP 21 Gun Salute at Stirling Castle, a concert, several poetry readings, and a very moving song at the Banacockburn Memorial. Cammy has the ability to take you back in time and share the stories, the people, and moments of history that bring Scotland to life. And when life threw out curveballs, like a castle being closed for a wedding, Cammy had a plan. We saw so much more than we expected or had hoped. Stirling Castle, Melrose Abbey, Scott's View, Culzean Castle, Rosslyn Chapel, Lochs, and Mountains. He also chose two amazing lunch places. SO I would like to give my highest praise to Cammy. When we come back to Scotland, we will be engaging Cammy as our guide. So the question is not whether or not to book a tour, but when!

Bill took 16 rowdy choir ladies celebrating an 80th birthday on a bus tour of Edinburgh and surrounds. What a great time we had and everyone us still talking about it. His knowledge of the history of the city is second to none. Although traffic restrictions meant we couldn’t always navigate to all destinations, we experienced the city as never before. If you don’t have mobility issues, Bill will take you on his renowned walking tour of the most historical parts of the Royal Mile. Highly recommended - no other guide will match!

Bill', the face of edinburghtourguide, absolutely wonderful story telling is a recommendation on its own. Bill met us in front of the Caledonian in a massive downpour and merrily rescheduled for the afternoon! He brought us to all the main sites of the old town, even though most tourist attractions are closed due to the COVID situation. Treated us to stories and drinks in the Guildford Arms Pub and gave us a wonderful afternoon. A true delight and would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Along with two other couples, we had the most remarkable 8-day tour with Edinburgh Tour Guide. Not only did our trip exceed our expectations, but in every instance, we believe that our guides (Cammy and Bill) truly cared about us and did their best to make our trip memorable. Prior to our trip, Cammy asked what we wanted to see and do and then helped plan our itinerary. We were pleased by the diversity of our trip: from archaeological sites to castles, from distillery tastings to traditional food, from nature walks to ferry rides, every place we visited and every activity offered new experiences. Cammy was the perfect host for our driving tour of Scotland, regaling us with his knowledge of history, poetry and song. Bill’s walking tour of Edinburgh was filled with anecdotes and even a stop to hear live Scottish music. Our trip concluded with the “Taste of Scotland” dinner show at Prestonfield House with Cammy as the MC. What a delightful way to end our trip. We most heartily recommend Edinburgh Tour Guide!
