Here I am - a Chicago native in Edinburgh, Scotland. Staying at the Marriott, for a work trip - I really wanted to golf in Scotland, but didn't have clubs or any gear. Luckily, I found that Turnhouse was only a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel. So after trekking over there on a perfect sunny day and dealing with... More

During his enforced medical break from the European Tour Chris Doak is offering lessons at Turnhouse. Considering the standard of golfer he normally plays with he was extremely patient with my two kids (13 and 17) and me for our on-course lesson. He's a very clear communicator with some really good tips and insights. Being on the course rather than... More

As a club we use the reviews that we receive as a means of moving our club forward. Obviously we are delighted that you thought so highly of our course, however we are similarly disappointed that you felt that the service you received from the catering was not of a standard that you or we would expect. We will use... More

This is a golf course which we played in an Open Competition recently, then had a meal in the clubhouse. The course is the surprise. It's a relatively old heathland James Braid course which has been turned into a tree-lined course by the addition of a prodigious number of trees. The holes are well-defined with one or two spectacular holes,... More

Invited along for a game, however I was told to be there around a specific time as we couldn't book a time in advance. Great club, very helpful staff, nice surroundings and a really nice course. But still operating a first come first ball in the queue system!!! A few holes are quite a challenge, with some really nice views... More

Lets start with the positives as there are plenty, the course was in fantastic condition, a credit to the green staff for this time of year, the clubhouse is really nice, you get a very warm welcome from the bar staff, my main concern and boy it is a big one is wondering why the members of this club do... If you are planning to play golf in Edinburgh, Turnhouse Golf Club should be top of your list. Turnhouse is a James Braid designed, 18 hole parkland golf course, located in the heart of Edinburgh - golfing country. It's close to Edinburgh Park and Edinburgh International Airport, but only a few minutes drive from the main attractions of the historical... More
