This bus is great, but the tour itself was quite disappointing. Don't go expecting some proper historic ghost tales, as it's more of a fun comedy trip with a short walk around a graveyard, and somewhat dodgy effects on the sound system. Good fun, especially if you have kids, but for the cost, I wouldn't say this was worth it.... More

Absolutely brilliant little excursion. The trip is filled with light hearted fun and humour and as long as you don't turn up expecting a serious ghost hunt you will have a real good laugh. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends. The conductor made the trip for us. He was outstanding and really did a good job.

Travelled on the Ghost bus in March 2017. This was my second trip and it was just as fun as the first time. Do NOT miss this when you visit Edinburgh !!

We arrived early even though we had booked and were glad we had as a queue formed very quickly and the bus was full. The conductor who talked the whole way round about the horrors and spooks of Edinburgh was very entertaining and we all had a good laugh. We even enjoyed the tour of the cemetery where black plague... More

Group of six of us decided on go on bus tour and we all had such a laugh. The tour guide was fully theatrically committed to group and focused our attention. The tour itself takes you to some great landmarks and is surprisingly educational at the same time. Much fun had by all. We didn't book online we just turned... More

That was a very nice and entertaining tour, which allowed us to have a different view of the city. Our guide certainly played a fundamental role to the successful experience, dressed in proper attire and acting as a prepared host for a ghost tour. Get ready for spooky stories and scenario! Come onboard and enjoy the experience!

Our group, me, my wife, mother in law and two children under 10, a cross section of ages. We all enjoyed it, a bit wacky, but fun. Did find the graveyard spooky alright. It's not cheap, but comparative with any other tours or events in Edinburgh. I would recommend it.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
