Ideal drive and lots to see and free parking at the ocean terminal carpark, the view out to see is the best ive seen so far.

We used Leith as our base (The Sandaig Guest House) for a weekend in Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed the location. It wasn't until we were in the taxi on our way back to the airport that our driver informed us Leith was known as the "rougher" part of Edinburgh, but we didn't see anything during our stay (which included a... I have just moved to Edinburgh from Australia and Fisher's has the best seafood! I had tried the natural oysters, mussels, smoked salmon and the salmon main. It was all absolutely delicious! The amazing service topped it all off nicely. Big thanks to the chefs and staff, I'll be back!

The Shore is full of great restaurants and quirky little cafes. Not exactly for sighseeing but you can walk the Water of Leith, edn up in the great neighbour of Leith, have a drink or lunch and then take one of frequent buses back to the centre. On Saturdays, visit the local food market and if yiu are lucky, the... More

The Shore is by far the nicest part of Leith and is well worth a visit. We enjoy walks down there often accompanied by a drink and/or a meal at one of the various great establishments.

I went to Leith in August 2016 during my visit to Edinburgh, and after seeing pictures of the waterfront area on social media and doing some online research, it seemed like a neighborhood we should visit and explore. We had planned to go to Leith one evening for dinner. The "shore" was picturesque (shown in my picture) but once you... More

Went to Leith to have a look around the waterfront of an area that used to be quite grungy and is now somewhat gentrified. Some very nice restaurants around and walks along the dockland. Quite windy the day we visited. Would be nicer in good weather.

We called in on our way home from Edinburgh to go and look at the beach because i bet a lot of people do not realise that a part of Edinburgh has got a beach (Portobello) and a lovely one it is even though not much there as in amusements and activities to do but the beach was lovely, the... More
