On this ghostly walking tour, explore historic sites including Greyfriars Kirkyard and St. Giles’ Cathedral with your enthusiastic guide, and hear chilling tales of murder and revenge. Easy going people, very kind, made me feel at home. I hired a golf bag, brand new clubs (scottish brand of course). I also bought golf balls, tees etc. Beautiful course, very well kept, maintenance, grass height... I also eat in the nearby restaurant which I reccomend. Lovely day. Thank you!!!

On a very wet Monday I booked a tee to play with my son. Expectations were not high for a municipal course but the greens were in very good condition.

Very nice golf course just outside Edinburgh, Scotland. Friendly helpful staff, which also spoke Swedish. The course was in very good condition and would love to go back there and play more rounds.

On the positive side: on a fine day the views are nice, greens are fair condition and tricky in places, its a reasonable challenge with some longer par fours and quite tough approaches to narrow and/or plateaued greens, rough is enough to be a penalty without being brutal. Mostly generous fairways. Friendly and helpful starter. Negatives: holes are a bit "samey". Course was quite heavy even though it had been dry. I suspect it would be poor in winter, surroundings - not the nicest part of Edinburgh.

Having played here a few times recently I have to say that it is always enjoyable. Well looked after with stunning views it is a real treat. We're not talking championship standard but there are several challenging holes with enough variety to keep one interested over 18 holes. This links course is a par 71 and the average golfer will not be unhappy. I particularly enjoy the 8th, 10th and 15th holes as well as the mammoth 18th hole that stretches almost the entire width. With deals on 9 hole or twilight golf it's a great place to go of an evening if you just fancy a quick hit.
