We were a little nervous about eating in such a tourist area but were pleasantly surprised. The wait time was pretty accurate and the bartender and cocktails made you barely notice the wait. There were 6 of us and we had a pretty varied selection...More

Very popular place but they manage the slight wait very efficiently. The service was excellent. The staff was very kind and didn’t mind explaining some of the traditional dishes to tourist. Best food I have had in Scotland, so far. I definitely recommend this place!...More

Visited for an evening meal following recommendation from a local, very pleased that we followed his advice. The Haggis Tower was simply delicious, so much so that if I visit Edinburgh again, I don’t think that I will be able to resist a return visit....More

Excellent service and friendly atmosphere - definitely a must on your trip here. Food came out within ten minutes of us ordering and it was delicious. You need to try the whisky cheesecake!

Absolutely amazing place, superb food and so far we had best steaks ever. Grilled tomato was melting, same as steak. We ordered cheese boards after and we couldn't even finish them... Staff were polite and quick. Absolutely loved it.

Old Town

visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
