Popped in after a busy day for a couple of drinks. Cocktails were £4 (bargain) and the pints were reasonable too. The themed bar was good to look at and they were doing a pub quiz too which was fun.

I absolutely love all things Halloweenesque so when i spotted this bar online before going to Edinburgh it went straight on my list of places to visit. The decor is just unreal, gorgeously spooky and very Frankensteiny....but the food menu: boring & over priced; the...More

Surprisingly humorless place. We grabbed a few drinks (they're fine) and was hoping for one of the Monster Shows to start. We dug through their facebook page and saw something that indicated one might be happening at 8 PM. Sure enough at about 7:50, a...More

To be frank, I couldn’t even get a stein. The man who ‘greeted’ us quite simply told us told us ‘to get the f**k out, in the nicest way’. This was well before official closing time, so of course we assumed it was open. Impolite,...More

This is definitely a themed bar so it is kinda quirky but it’s a fun stop if you’re visiting Edinburgh. They have some pretty cool drinks. The Frankenstein one was very cool looking and good!

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
