So many busy places during the festival, but the staff here were very efficient and even though busy. The beer choice was good and there is a good selection go beers at a reasonable price.

Visited during the fringe where an array of musicians graced the outdoor stage. Lovely setting for a few chilled drinks in the sun.

Great bar on south side of Edinburgh. It has a massive outdoor area which is great to relax in the sunshine, free singers providing entertainment also. Loads of acts during August. Bar is pretty standard, average prices. The real selling point of this bar is...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
