Me and some friends attempted this bar crawl once and it was canceled because not enough people signed up. They gave us no notice so after eating dinner early and walking a mile to the meeting place and waiting 45 minutes they finally said it's a no go. We tried to go again a week later and ended up waiting... More

We tried to do this pub crawl twice and both times were extremely disappointed. The first time they cancelled the pub crawl while we were sitting in the bar waiting for it to start. The second time we waited 45 minutes past the start time and no one showed up to take us or the 15 other people waiting. Don't... More

It was a great night...lots of history and whiskey! The paper kilts were a challenge not to rip...heard some authentic Scottish music as well as others...Mhairi Reive was the best! Very respectful and answered all our questions! If you have a free night in Edinburgh try it out!

I had a lot of fun and I met new people. It was a great night, and if you're travellong solo it's a good way to meet people.

Being that I was traveling with a large group of people, this was a fun, easygoing activity that everyone could agree on! I think it was around 7 pounds which maybe got you a couple freebies or discounts but it was mostly just a good way to find some popular spots you may not have found otherwise if you were... More

Personally, we could have done without the last disco stop, but all the rest of the pubs were good or great - especially those with live entertainment. I'd recommend sticking to those - fun for the whole group, regardless of age differences.

Definitely our best night out in Edinburgh. I was a bit skeptical before joining as it seemed impossible to have all that stuff included in the £7 ticket. With my great surprise everything was as advertised. Cool pubs and venues, great atmosphere, good discounts on drinks and free cocktails and shots. The tour guides were very nice and organized. A... Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
