An easy access from the city by Lothian bus #41 and there is a sign leading to the village from the bus stop. I decided to head here late afternoon and luckily I got there when the tide was low to enable me to walk...More

We went on a very wet and windy day but I still really enjoyed the walk over. You get some great views from the island as well.

An enchanted walk along the causeway to this small island, then walk around it. It was good weather which helped, it felt like stepping back in time. Well worth a visit, catch a no 41 bus from Edinburgh. Walk alongside almond river to see where...More

You have to go check the tide chart before you go down on to the island. Its so different, i could not say. You have to check when it works and you do not get stuck. Hope this helps. Thanks
