It’s not JUST a food tour. It’s also a really nice walk through a less “touristy” area of Edinburgh with Nell who is both knowledgeable and very friendly. I have a love for architecture and there is so much to see and learn. It was an easy laid back tour with the food as a bonus and we were stuffed by the end.

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the food, history and the architecture - The New Town and Stockbridge are really lovely parts of Edinburgh, which visitors sometimes miss - and the Scottish food from smoked salmon, to haggis and gin liqueur and cheese also helps!

We had a wonderful time experiencing different restaurants/cafes with Nell! We were able to visit a handful of places and learn more about the history of Edinburgh while walking from one destination to the next. Nell was so knowledgeable about food and Edinburgh, the owners of all the establishments were terrific and the food was absolutely delicious! My husband is a meat eater and I am a vegan, Nell was very accommodating and made sure each stop had something for me to enjoy :-) 10/10 recommend !

Thanks so much for the great review - You were such a great group and so enthusiastic - I can't pretend I organised the Scottish wedding guests to arrive as we walk past, but I am glad we all had time to admire those men in kilts!

Had a wonderful afternoon in Stockbridge for the farmer's market and a walk around the town visiting a few different food shops (samples included) and a Victorian Pub for lunch. The tour included the history of the town and a discussion of the local architecture, as we strolled along. The food stops highlighted local Scottish fare and drink. Our guide Nell was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and exuberant as she shared her hometown with us. I would recommend enjoying a side of Edinburgh that you may not ordinarily explore, with a very knowledgeable guide.

Nell offered us a great start to our Scotland journey. She shared historical anecdotes whilst ushering us to several Edinburgh institutions and eating local specialties - Haggis and Whiskey included!
