Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I always like to hire a private guide when exploring a new city. I chose Mini Mack because of the great reviews. I am happy to report that their new guide Gareth is a native of Edinburgh and knew all the cool places and the stories behind them. It was great to be with someone who was fun, informative and knew the 'hometown' prespective. Highly recommend.

We arrived on a Saturday morning after a ‘red eye’ flight and had booked Mini Mack as our first acitivity to get an overview of Edinburgh for the remainder of our trip...and to stay awake! Rowan picked us up at our hotel and was right on time. We took the two hour tour which was packed with all the highlights and took us up the hills we didn’t want to climb at 8am! Rowan was super friendly, extra knowledgeable of the local area and showed a keen interest in ensuring we were seeing what we were interested in. Overall, I would highly recommend Mini Mack tours for an opportunity to see some of the lesser known areas of Edinburgh along with the tourist highlights. Thanks to Rowan for an amazing introduction to Edinburgh 👍

Andy was a fabulous guide, taking us around Edinburgh and making sure we got a good sense of the city. He gave us great recommendations for dining, shopping and sites to see. Above all, he was very gracious and amiable. I whole heartily recommend this unique tour to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Great work, Andy!

We were picked up from our Hotel in Leith by Andy on time. The tour was tailored to suite our interests and included the spectacular views from Arthur's Seat and the Old Observatory. Andy took us to places we would never have seen on our own including a quiet tearoom and gardens by a lake. We could not believe we were near the heart of Edinburgh. Andy clearly knew his way about and was easy to talk to. We finished with a lunch and coffee before returning to our hotel. A great tour which we are happy to recommend.

Hi! This two hour tour was such a wonderful experience and I believe it is due to Rowan's love for his country. He was so kind too. It was great to see the city with someone who is a native. We definitely recommend and totally worth it.

Adam did an absolutely perfect job showing us the ins and outs of Edinburgh. He showed up exactly on time and seemed eager to show us a great time. The Minis are perfect for the narrow streets and heavy traffic, especially during the peak season. We really appreciated seeing the places that are off the 'beaten path'. We were also treated to a wonderful lunch spot! Thank you Adam for a great trip! And, by the way, these guys do trips to the Highland and Skye etc and are very knowledgable about all of Scotland.

Andy and Rowan have put together a delightful format for a private tour of Edinburgh - touring the town, particularly charming nooks and crannies of the city, in an Austin mini. Andy showed us one lovely locale after another, avoiding the crowds and the traffic, particularly important because we were there at the time of the Edinburgh Festival. Topped it of with a fun pub lunch. He was knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more from a tour guide.
