Worth a look when out walking your dog. Not a lot to see and very little information on site. The area can get very muddy in poor weather so adequate clothing and boots recommended. The blue pool is not to far away and also worth...More

This is a nice walk with the dog or kids as there are a few things to explore. The castle which is in a general state of disrepair looks the part and is very atmospheric. The blue pool is very mysterious and the broch and...More

This was a surprise to me! Just recently passed my driving test and was looking to go to different places around the Falkirk area. We decided to go to Torwood woods. We parked at the lay by, there was no other parking spaces from where...More

If you have an hour to spare this is a fabulous walk. I recently discovered it and enjoyed it as much as my children and my dog! Tappoch Broch is an astonishing find in the woods but only if you know where to go. Travel...More

Good walk. Great to see the castle and the broch and the blue pool if you go a bit further. Dog needed to be on the lead past the cattle but had a good walk in the woods.

Not much to see here i'm afraid. Passed it on a walk and wouldn't recommend seeking it out. The windmills nearby were more interesting so if you are looking for old castles with history then this one isn't the one.

Poor signposting by Falkirk Council. Torwood Castle had graffiti on it. Poorly maintained. Couldn't find the broch due to lack of signs. Wouldn't recommend- not worth its 4 star Trip advisor rating.

After a walk through the woods with some stunning views of the surrounding area. We found this creepy but interesting place. Could do with a bit more information when you get there as we had to do a bit research on our return home.

A nice walk through history. Not for the less able as the walk can be over rough ground in parts. The Castle is in a state of 'supposed' renovation but little is happening to prevent further deterioration. The Broch is a grand Ancient site to...More
