Walk through an underground walkway to see where St Margaret's came to pray. The Area was serene and calm and a nice place for meditation and contemplation.

If you have a heart condition or restricted mobility then be aware that it's 87 steps down the tunnel, and of course back up! That said, it's well worth a visit if you're in Dunfermline and have a spare 30 minutes as it's of significant...More

The entrance is easy to in a main pay and display car park. Booth with some interesting items for sale. Long fairly gentle steps down to the cave - it does seem a long way down and it is through a well built tunnel that...More

Interesting history of the cave, including how it came to be situated under the car park. Lots of steps so need to be at least vaguely fit!

the steep steps down into the cave mean that disabled or poor mobility members of the public cannot access this attraction. Nevertheless if you are able bodied it is certainly fascinating and worth a look if you are in the area.

The cave has a fascinating history. You walk down a long, modernized tunnel with informative signage along the way to get to the tiny cave. It echos quite a bit so spent most of the time shushing our young kids.

Lived in Dunfermline for nearly 40 years and this was my first visit. Didn't know what to expect, but it was what it said, a peaceful little cave at the end of a long tunnel. Given this could so easily have been covered over by...More
