I visited St Andrews skydive on Saturday and had the most amazing experience. It was my first time doing a tandem skydive so full of nerves to begin with. Cameron explained the everything we needed to know really clearly and put me at ease. I did my skydive with Iain who was brilliant on the flight up to 10,000ft showing me points of interest out the window which helped calmed my nerves.
The actual skydive was amazing, I hope I get the opportunity to do it again some day!
It really is weather dependent and I was do lucky to have a gorgeous day to do my skydive. I thought the whole operation was very smooth considering there were 24 people jumping that day. They were able to give me my jump time by 9.30am (4pm jump) so I could coordinate with my spectators. This meant they didn't have to hang about all day waiting for me. Whilst I waited for my timeslot I was able to go off and explore the local area for a few hours after the training.
Massive shout out to George the videographer, he did a beautiful job filming my skydive. The quality of the video and photos he sent over afterwards is beyond what I expected, well worth it in my opinion.
Overall, I thoroughly recommend doing a skydive with this company, they will reassure you and you'll have an experience of a lifetime!

As it happens I have very bad luck when it comes to picking dates, every single date I picked the weather was terrible and then Covid happened. Anyway, after X amount of times today was finally the day I was able to finally do my skydive. It was definitely worth the wait.
I was paired with the instructor Iain who is very experienced and made me feel at ease with this being my very first Skydive.
When we were in the plane he painted out different locations on the ground which distracted me from the fact I was about to jump out a plane which I have to say helped!
Overall a fantastic experience, one that was worth the wait and definitely a day I will never forget!

First of all what an experience I couldn't recommend this place anymore!!!
If you are flapping about jumping they will put you at ease and have a good laugh all the way.
The feeling of jumping is amazing and worth any form of waiting.
I see a lot about complaints of cancelled skydives due to weather. At the end of the day this is Scotland if you want a guaranteed jump go to California lol.
Id recommend if you are driving in ring up before setting off for a weather check or check BBC weather and make an educated guess.
The team went above and beyond to ensure me and my partner could jump as we are moving away, they put us first on the manifest and on split timings so one of us could look after our child.
The video was great too we had Thomas film our jump and he was spot on!
10/10 would jump again.

What an absolutely fantastic day. Guys were brilliant from the very start. Really put you at ease and you knew you were in safe hands. Big thanks to Iain, Mark and Lucas our instructors for the day and George our very own camera man who captured the jump for us perfectly. Filming the jump was extra but worth every penny, received the edited videos a few days later and they are really well done. It was all over really quickly but having the videos are great for reliving the moment

My charity skydive was an amazing experience, the staff are really friendly and make you feel totally safe. Would definitely recommend! My instructor Ian was a great laugh and made me feel really confident about the whole experience from training to the jump. This was my third try at jumping after it being rescheduled due to weather which couldn't be helped, and it was definitely worth the wait!

Had the most amazing time skydiving for the first time. Everyone was so enthusiastic and competent that we really felt that we were in safe hands. I totally recommended skydiving with them as it is something you will never forget. Shoutout to James who was my tandem skydiver, he made me feel so comfortable and totally calmed my nerves.

Had an experience of a lifetime, I am scared of heights and really wanted to do something out there to help conquer my fear. All the workers I came across were very helpful, informed us when we would jump and done well communicating how the day would go. The safety briefing was very helpful and easy to understand so if you want a bit of adrenaline, an outstanding and best time of your life I wouldn’t think twice about booking with Skydive St Andrews!
They offer a recording service in which you can receive a recording of your jump for keep sake and proof that you managed it!
Everyone should do this!! I will definitely do this again!😁

We had the best day ever at St. Andrews Skydive!! We were extremely lucky with the weather a few weeks ago and set off early from Glasgow. Everyone at the centre were super friendly and made us feel very safe and secure the whole time. 100% recommend booking a skydive with these guys and it is so worth it to pay extra for video - our cameraman was Oscar and he was fantastic!

FANTASTIC.
It was the best day for ages, what a kick, forget zip wires, bungee's, roller-coaster's skydiving beats the lot.
I want to do it again.
All so easy to do, and COVID compliant, simple booking procedure, easy to get to, happy/helpful staff, formal training (not difficult to do) the team are very supportive and will answer all your questions.
A full explanation of the day is given, brilliant.
As this is experience is weather dependent it is not a guarantee that you will jump on the day (I changed date 3 times) but well worth the wait.
Ian, the head instructor is a very approachable guy, very open and a good sense of humor, the other experienced jumpers are great too.
Lucas was my tandem jump main man, very helpful, he reminded me what I needed to do and when, he's a great parachutist and through me all over the place, what a thrill.
My pictures / video was do by George, the quality and professionalism is second to none, he has given me memories I will never forget.
I would highly recommend this.

So, on Saturday, I went with my daughter to Skydive St Andrews as she was doing a tandem jump for charity. I'm not sure who was more nervous, her or me but the team were fab at getting the balance right between safety first and a bit of banter to calm the nerves!
We had quite a bit of time to spare as she didn't jump until later in the afternoon (after a 9am briefing) but no matter, we went for a beach walk and returned an hour or so before her time slot.
Her 'attached' for the jump, Iain, was great, very experienced, very friendly and very helpful. And when she had finally done it, she was ecstatic - absolutely loved it!
Totally recommend this place and I would also say, get the video and photos - worth every extra penny as a fantastic reminder of the experience.

My other half has a sky dive booked for this weekend, I’ll be going along as a spectator. Could anyone give me an idea of how long the whole experience takes, and whether there are cafe facilities or similar? Thanks ☺️

My other half came with me and feared she was going to be there all day, but my dive was completed by mid day. But you could be longer depending on the weather. I would pack a bag with snacks! Hope this helps

I am 76 years young can you tell me the cost also insurance cost of skydive st Andrews
Written 8 April 2018
You have probably already done your dive by now but for any others asking, your life insurance covers the dive. The insurance waver you sign with Sky Dive St Andrews on the day of your jump only covers you damaging their equipment. For example, landing through the roof of their hanger. The roof is covered, your injuries are not. The vast majority of life insurance providers cover this as a one off extra curricular activity or experience. It is only if you were to take it up as an extreme sport or were to do it permanently that you would need special insurance. Bit always best to check with your provider.

Hi we have been cancelled 3times with the weather.our 12months from when we booked will be up shortly.just wondering what will happen? Also has this happened to anyone before?
Written 19 February 2017
As long as you've actively rebooked within the year the company will honour the tandem.... may I suggest you get yourself re-booked soon as your liability insurance will have to be renewed (£20) and you will require re-training if you're out of the year.
