Pleasant walks on beach and along shore head. Two cafes, one at harbour and the other at sailing club. Latter does excellent cheese toasties and was open on New Year's Day. Great spot for watching the sailing dinghies, surfers and kayakers.

Parking not plentiful but smaller beach pleasant for a walk. Look for tiny cafe (portacabin?) by harbour bridge which sells good inexpensive soup and coffee.

Down by the harbour you will find the East beach, compared to its big brother the West beach quite small, but it is a lot less busy. Definitely worth visiting as is the local coffee shop.

The beach was a bit less sandy and a lot more pebbly than previous visits due to some big winter storms it seems, we still enjoyed our time playing on the sand and paddling in the sea. The beach is spotlessly clean with friendly lifeguards...More
