- scottmcarthur88Kirkintilloch, United Kingdom1 contributionA Luxurious BirthdayBooked me and my partner in for her 30th Birthday, and what a day we had! The facilities were 10/10 and the staff were there to tend to our every need. They even recognised my partners birthday and gave her a special gift after we’d had our lunch. We had wanted to have a nice relaxing afternoon and it’s exactly what we had.Visited October 2023Written 26 October 2023

The service level is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is a pleasure to spend time at the spa and having them take good care of you. It's heavenly. - chuckin831 contributionFantastic day, amazing facilities. Highly recommend the spa day packagesFantastic day, amazing facilities. Highly recommend the spa day packages. Our treatments were great, initially I feared 25mins for massage and 25mins for facial wouldn't be enough but it certainly was. I felt so relaxed and never rushed.Visited November 2023Written 15 November 2023
- Catherine BSt. Andrews, United Kingdom23 contributionsBest facial everYou are very well taken care of by the staff. Once in my treatment room for my facial I started to relax immediately. The lighting was low and relaxing music was playing. The bed was satisfyingly warm. Everything was explained to me , I wasn’t really interested, but when Lisa did I actually found it interesting. Lisa, my beautician, was excellent in her technique and touch. Would recommend Lisa for a facial if you are going to get one.Visited December 2023Written 8 December 2023

The spa cafe lunch was superb, and again, staff very attentive. We loved our day and will return. Thank you.Visited January 2024Written 24 January 2024
- heather_sudsDundee, United Kingdom560 contributionsA little better than other local spas ...just for a bigger price. Shop around!Tucked away inside a wing of the Old Course, StAndrews. Nice reception and lots of lovely staff. Tastefully decorated reception and lounge. Very small locker room and even smaller benches for changing at. The showers are a bit hit and miss but products are good quality. We enjoyed the Spa but there was too much time to wait between jets going back on. The pool is beautiful but short on relaxation beds. Our treatments were excellent! Best I've had. Lovely therapists too. The recovery room was too dark and smelled of sewage on the day we visited. Lunch is not in the hotel..in the Spa cafe which has no outlook at all. The food there was ok but quite average. The cafe is tiny and tables are too crammed together. Guests are in there in their robes and slider shoes. This doesn't feel like luxury at all.be aware that drinks are around £8 - £10+ and none are complementary. Parking is easy. Kohler Spa is not part of The Old Course. It was very busy when we went and a struggle in the changing room for a seat on the bench. Too many staff were interested changing room ..taking up room in the already cramped area. For a premium hotel and for the prices charged, this Spa needs to be better..but the staff are their best asset.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 9 February 2024
- blairgowrierefle2024Perth, United Kingdom1 contributionFantastic experience with a minor blip!We were there on a package deal ( as I suspected was everyone else!). We were treated with the upmost kindness and shown directions, spa and how to work everything. The spa was spotless as were the changing rooms. Our massages were superb- shout out to Hazel! I knocked a point off for the uninspiring cafe. It was very “ plasticky” dull and boring compared to the seating area, spa and relaxation room. My sandwich order was wrong. The waitress apologised profusely. £3.50 for a can of Diet Coke is a rip off. We had a great time and would , most definitely, return to the spa and therapy rooms.Visited February 2024Written 13 February 2024

Great spa but a pity about the outdoor hot tub being out of use. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the lunch was delicious.Visited February 2024Written 27 February 2024

Had a good expectation given the location, however as I was given a voucher as a gift that was not to the level others had paid, I felt I wasn't given the same level of service or even the opportunity to upgrade in anyway. No one showed me round the facilities and where everything was, I wasn't offered a drink on arrival as my package didn't include it, but also wasn't offered the opportunity to buy one or told where to buy one. Found communication to be poor and people are just ushered in as they arrived all at the same time, then onto the next person. Not the relaxing spa experience I was looking for. There were no places to relax as the beds were all booked but no one was on them or even around. For someone solo I wouldn't recommend as I think it is more a social couples/friends thing due to the size. Previous spa locations I have been to have more relaxing areas so people on their own can take time out. Treatment however was very good and there the service was much better.

Visited in feb 2024 with my friend. At the time people were being called through for the treatments there were two people with my name. Unfortunately our therapists had the wrong people and my therapist tried to give me the treatment the other lady had booked which was 25 minutes shorter than what I had booked. The whole treatment felt rushed after this so I didn’t leave feeling relaxed at all. Lunch in the spa cafe had been booked for us at 2.30 and we were absolutely starving. We had hoped service would be quick as we had to preorder our food but still had to wait 25 minutes for two sandwiches. Thankfully they were lovely though.
All in all I won’t be rushing back.

Disabled changing room smells strongly of sewage as clearly disposal bins hasn't been emptied. Ladies changing small and crowded with no individual cubicle available. Showers that didn't work. Grey towels didn't smell that good and really had seen better days. Rooftop jacuzzi has never reopened since lockdown. Wasn't a £60 each experience the Apex at Dundee much more worth it at £20. Place is looking tired. Only good thing is friendly staff

A family visit to a wonderful spa. All staff were friendly, helpful, professional and without exception provided first rate service. Treatments were thoroughly enjoyed by all and lunch was delicious. The relaxed ambience and decor within the spa/lounge area also helped to make our spa day relax relaxing and memorable.
What a fantastic team, thank you ☺️

My husband bought me a spa day as a treat, thinking it would be a luxury day where I wouldn’t want for anything and be well looked after but I was disappointed at a) how busy it was so it didn’t feel luxurious and b) the lack of the little extras. No complimentary drinks or snacks apart from water or an apple, which means it’s a long morning if you are booked in from 10 for use of the spa and then treatments before lunch at 2. I was shocked at how small the changing facilities are and how many people they allowed in at the same time. I had to squeeze onto a small bench.
I also overheard members talking about how busy it was when I arrived so that put me off asking about membership.
The staff are lovely and my treatments were fantastic with Jun!
The overall spa experience was disappointing.

My partner and I love a spa day having visited many all over Scotland . Our children gifted us a Spa day with treatments at the Old Course Saint Andrews we attended on Mondat 9th Jan 2023. As we love Turnberry, or Stobo Castle they wanted us to try a new place . After the 2 hour drive my partner and I were excited to try out the Spa at the 5 * Old Course we checked in around 10.30 after a warm welcome we were shown to the changing areas . All good up to the moment I stepped into the pool I was met with what I can only describe as a collection of Dirt accumulated on entry to the pool steps , also missing tiles we can over look missing tiles but not the dirt . I brought this to the attention of spa staff and the manager but I am afraid that was it for me I could not use the facilities after what I witnessed. The health suit pools are on a timer and only come on every 16/ 20 minutes you have to time your entrance just right people were just left sitting waiting for the next cycle . Most spas I have visited have controls where you are in control once the cycle has finished there is a short filtration cycle Not at the old course Lunch was none descriptive I had noodles that lacked flavour my partner had a tuna sandwich he said was mediocre. It was a truly disappointing visit definitely not worth the 2hour drive to get there Old Course you really need to do better .

Me and my sister had an amazing spa day today followed but a very tasty healthy lunch in the spa cafe, just what you want after using the facilities. We loved the new foam bath feature in the lady’s changing room, a very exciting new touch!
The Dyson hair dryer and straighteners were also a fantastic new addition. We both felt like we had left a hair salon!! 5* as always, thank you to the spa team, Lisa x

Great service on my facial and golfer's massage however the facilities itself felt like I was in a gym versus a spa. You had to walk through the fitness center main lobby with bathrobe and slippers to get to the spa treatment. I felt like I was being exposed to a wider public that could have been avoided. The locker room / changing room was not separate from the fitness center so it felt like I was in a gym versus a spa. For the price of treatment I expected much more in terms of facilities and the access/privacy.
