If you want to know about the towns History don't miss this castle. There is a really good exhibition before you enter the castle and you get an audio guide to use in the castle.

This is called St. Andrew's Castle, but it's really just the shell of where it used to be. It sits right on the Atlantic and when we were there it was a rainy, foggy day, which just added to the mystique of this location. I...More

Though the castle is a ruin, the visitor’s center provides a great overview of the history and the signs and self guided tour detail of the events shaping the Scottish reformation. A must see for those interested in history. Recommend.
