The various university buildings dominate St Andrews - very impressive. We were free to wander round some of the university grounds - St Salvator's Quad is well worth a visit. The presence of the university gives a great international feel to the town.

This University has several colleges that are interesting to wander around and visit. You can walk around many of the courtyards and alleyways, watch the students gather and leave classes - almost feels like being in college again! Some of the courtyards were quite impressive.

I may be biased as my daughter spent four years here but the history and the old university buildings are beautiful. The Quad and the Chapel are especially worth a visit. The university makes the town of St Andrews.
