About
Craigtoun Park is a 47 acre park only 2 miles from St Andrews. The park itself is open 24/7 and it's a great day out for the whole family. During the season try the Rio Grande Railway, Crazy Golf, Putting and Puffin' Billy - the road train that takes you round the whole park. There are rowing boats and pedalos, bouncy castles and pedal cars for the little ones and go-karts for the not-so-little ones. In the event of inclement weather, some attractions may not run for safety reasons. The Craigtoun Cafe is open daily throughout the year and serves a selection of hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and, of course, ice creams. For full details of all opening times, prices and event dates, please visit our website.

Very large country park with lots of hidden spaces to chill out. Two lakes, large grass areas to rest or play in, lovely gardens, free children's playground, two toilet blocks, ducks and swans to feed. Some things need to be paid for ie. bouncy castles, crazy golf, putting green, train and tractor rides, but wristbands or tickets available at reasonable cost. Snow white placed at the wishing well and you can then go searching the park for the seven dwarfs, some are well hidden. Suitable for all ages. There were queues for several rides and also for food/ice cream etc. all social distancing due to covid does add to the waiting time but that can't be helped. The boats are not available just now due to the fact you can't social distance with them. Well worth a visit even just for a walk on a lovely day. We hadn't been in years and enjoyed going with the grandsons, will go back soon.

Very affordable family day out with so much to do.
This is an old fashioned family park. Plenty of open space for youngsters to run around. Bring a picnic, walk the park and play in the fantastic adventure playground is all free. But I would recommend to buy family ticket for rides, £26 gave three of us access to everything all day for as many times as we wanted. Great value… pedalos, go karts and crazy golf were star attractions. 4 times round the crazy golf!
Gran, papa and a six year old were there for 4-5 hours. Cafe was great too, plain simple food… toasties, soup, sandwiches, burgers. Nothing fancy but hit the spot, even had gluten free rolls,
The young members of staff in the park and the cafe were a credit and we saw the volunteers lovingly tending the garden. Great community feel about the park.
Don’t come and expect Disneyland, this is great day out in a lovely space and very affordable family fun.

We had a lovely family day out. Sat at the picnic tables beside the ticket office/shops and had lunch. Used the main toilets which were clean. We bought wristbands for 3 people that cost £24. We used these to go on the tractor ride, mini train. Kids used the bikes, trampolines and bouncy castle. The park is run by volunteers who keep the park well. Abided by covid restrictions and cleaned the tractor seat and train seats after every use. Would defo come back here again

We were at craigtoun park yesterday spent the full day here my children absolutely loved it, we also had lunch in the cafe. The staff in the cafe were fantastic and very attentive. Nothing was too much for them, the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for being in the park. Been to a lot of places where we would be £50/£60 easy for 5 of us. But there prices were fantastic. The park is fantastic all the different attractions for the children we were here for 5 1/2 hours and still could’ve stayed longer if it didn’t shut. Would highly recommend the park and the cafe.

Visited with three generations and something for everyone, especially the toddlers where most of the paying attractions are free for under threes. Nice cafe and eating areas and some wonderful trees and shrubs. If the Dutch Village ever gets renovated and the boating lake open it will be even better. One of the most attractive parks I’ve been to

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Matty, and for your positive feedback. Craigtoun really is a park for all generations and we love it when visitors tell us that they used to visit the park themselves as youngsters and are now brining their grandchildren!

It’s very easy to spend a whole day in this lovely green area. Lots to do for kids, quiet areas to sit and enjoy, coffee shop, miniature railway, puffin billy train, minigolf and A zip slide. Hopefully the next time I go there the boats will be reinstated on the lake around the Dutch village.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Rosemary, and for your positive feedback. With social distancing still in place, we are now facing the reality that the boats will not run this season, as we had hoped but, all being well covid-wise, we look forward to having them back on the pond for the 2022 season.

Visited the Park last Saturday (13th May) and unfortunately it was a shambles. Yes the fryer had broken which was unavoidable, but having to wait 25 mins for 3 plain hotdogs and having to send them back as they had sauce and mustard on them, and then wait another 25 mins for replacements was unacceptable! I would also suggest you rethink the idea of not being able to order a take away hot drink within the cafe, you will lose business as people will not wait on the extremely long ice-cream queue!

Sorry to read that the cafe was not running at its best when you visited Craigtoun last year. We have taken steps to ensure a smoother service going forward and hope to welcome you back to Craigtoun in the 2024 season, which will be starting on Friday 29th March, to give it another try.

We hired the picnic hut for a Covid safe extended family day out to celebrate all the special birthdays, Christmases and Halloweens etc we missed together. The hut was really well equipped with everything we needed and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful! They even went above and beyond as we usually have a big family Christmas Eve party with Santa coming along to give the children gifts. We asked if they could help, and one of the staff kindly agreed and became one of Santa’s helpers, arriving by Puffin Billy, and distributing the organised gifts to all the children, and spent time talking to them, getting pictures taken etc. The other visitors in the park appeared to enjoy seeing Santa too!
Craigtoun Park is a really special place thanks to the staff and the volunteers. Thanks for being so welcoming.

Visited the park twice on a family holiday. It was fantastic for the kids. Plenty to do and kids and adults had a fantastic time. Staff were so lovely everywhere you went in park. A big thank you to the staff at the boats as my son threw a favourite toy in the water and the guy retrieved it with help from his colleagues. Brilliant service and made a little boy very happy.

Picked up by a tractor ride from the carpark we then bought a few tickets for extra rides inside. The kids loved the train ride and had loads of fun on the bouncy castles and trampolines.
The staff were all fantastic - positive, helpful and upbeat. This is truly excellent value for money and there is more than enough to do to keep kids entertained for hours.
