About
Craigtoun Park is a 47 acre park only 2 miles from St Andrews. The park itself is open 24/7 and it's a great day out for the whole family. During the season try the Rio Grande Railway, Crazy Golf, Putting and Puffin' Billy - the road train that takes you round the whole park. There are rowing boats and pedalos, bouncy castles and pedal cars for the little ones plus - new for 2022 - go-karts for the not-so-little ones. In the event of inclement weather, some attractions may not run for safety reasons. The cafe is will be open daily for take away only until the season ends in October and serves a selection of breakfast rolls, sandwiches, paninis, teas and coffees, home baking and, of course, ice creams. For full details of all opening times, prices and event dates, please visit our website.

- jessNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom59 contributionsGreat for kidsLovely family park on the outskirts of S( Andrews. We have been here many times now we can’t believe we have missed this great park. It is on the outskirts of town we walked and took about 20 minutes. Kids loved the little train and we all had great fun. I would commend taking food we stopped at the marks and Spencer’s which was in the way and grabbed some snacks. Not a whole day event but we had fun.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 7 May 2023
- SalMonifieth13 contributionsA great day out with kidsWhat a brilliant day we had at this park. We bought day passes and were able to use them to the max (grandkids are 11, 8 & 6). We went on everything, some things more than once. Spent the whole day there having great fun. Lunch in the Cafe was OK too (there are also lovely picnic areas dotted about) then great ice cream to finish things off. Loads for the grandkids to do, nice walk around the gardens, good big car park and the staff were all amazing. Be prepared to do a lot of waving at all the little kids on the trains, really lovely. Looking forward to our next visit.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 May 2023
- Laura S1 contributionAmazing day outWe were at craigtoun park yesterday spent the full day here my children absolutely loved it, we also had lunch in the cafe. The staff in the cafe were fantastic and very attentive. Nothing was too much for them, the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for being in the park. Been to a lot of places where we would be £50/£60 easy for 5 of us. But there prices were fantastic. The park is fantastic all the different attractions for the children we were here for 5 1/2 hours and still could’ve stayed longer if it didn’t shut. Would highly recommend the park and the cafe.Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 May 2023
- Bruce R2 contributionsCaring, Sharing, CraigtounBit of a quirky review as I work at Craigtoun during the summer as an activities assistant and travel from Dundee to Craigtoun (30 miles round trip) with a colleague. Last Sunday, 23rd July, he felt unwell and went home leaving me at work with the challenge of getting back to Dundee. Well at the end of the day at least 3 of my colleagues had offered me a lift back to Dundee. They live miles away from me but this kind act simply endorsed the reason I enjoy so much working at Craigtoun with people who have become friends and their caring attitude shone through that day. So, come on folks, come on down to Craigtoun for a fantastic day out with the family and share in the care.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 26 July 2023
- Derek SAberdeen, United Kingdom95 contributionsAffordable family fun in an open spaceVery affordable family day out with so much to do. This is an old fashioned family park. Plenty of open space for youngsters to run around. Bring a picnic, walk the park and play in the fantastic adventure playground is all free. But I would recommend to buy family ticket for rides, £26 gave three of us access to everything all day for as many times as we wanted. Great value… pedalos, go karts and crazy golf were star attractions. 4 times round the crazy golf! Gran, papa and a six year old were there for 4-5 hours. Cafe was great too, plain simple food… toasties, soup, sandwiches, burgers. Nothing fancy but hit the spot, even had gluten free rolls, The young members of staff in the park and the cafe were a credit and we saw the volunteers lovingly tending the garden. Great community feel about the park. Don’t come and expect Disneyland, this is great day out in a lovely space and very affordable family fun.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2023
- Laura SLondon, United Kingdom55 contributionsLovely but everything was closedLovely park but disappointed that all the seasonal activities were packed up and not running on 22 August. I know Scottish children went back to school this week but there were still loads of families there on a beautiful sunny summer day. Regardless, the playground, zip line and trampolines were fun for the kids and the cafe was open and friendly. Even if they just had boats to rent or the train going around... Oh well.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 August 2023

We have a Fijian Community here in Leuchars Station, Fife, Scotland which is about 10mins drive from St Andrews, where Craigtoun Park is. On 25th July 2023 we had our Community Fun & BBQ Day there, number of adults 55 - 60 and children 25 - 30. We booked the open shed which is £25/day because it is located nearest to the little kids play area - adventure park. The organising group of our fun day needed to set up the area early and started grilling before 10am when families started coming, also so bbq can be ready for lunch. We were thankful that from 8:30am at least 1 staff was available to open the main gate so our van could come in to drop our bbq stuff. The gentleman who guided our van in was friendly and very helpful. He supplied for free all the extra items we asked from them: chairs, tables, slabs, a pole to hold our tarpaulin that we attached to the open shed for that extended shelter. They also supplied 2 gallons of water (we used 1 and a half), I think a gallon holds 30L. He advised us to give a call if we needed more supplies. At the end of the day, we just had to tidy up and leave all bags of garbage together so he could collect them with their supplies. Then again the main gate was open to let our delivery van in. The park is clean, plenty of space for kids to play, enough rides and climbing frames. Because it’s kinda on the country side, the air is refreshing and beautiful sceneries. There is no entrance fee and car park is free too. The service we received from the staff especially the gentleman who helped us on the day was very pleasant - from the booking, e-mail correspondence for our request of extra supplies and everything else. We also brought our volleyball set in so we put it up by our bbq spot: poles, net & ball. I remember when I thanked that certain staff for bringing the supplies to our spot, anyway he took a number of drives because we had 2 last minute (on the spot) requests, his response was: “It’s ok we are here to help make your day great.” Thank you so much Craigtoun Park. As a mother and one of the organisers of our fun day, I would like to tell parents that it is a good place too for hosting your kids’ birthday parties. Though the weather was cloudy then poured down later that evening before home time, we have had a good time, everything was enough.

Visiting pettycur bay caravan park from Glasgow & always looking for fun things to go as a family.
This is our second time visiting this park & it doesn’t disappoint - lovely open space for children to run around with some great wee attractions.
Very inexpensive , you can do as much or as little as you wish - ticket price is reasonable & all funds go back into looking after the park.
All staff friendly , welcoming & accommodating.
We will visit again!

Visited the Park last Saturday (13th May) and unfortunately it was a shambles. Yes the fryer had broken which was unavoidable, but having to wait 25 mins for 3 plain hotdogs and having to send them back as they had sauce and mustard on them, and then wait another 25 mins for replacements was unacceptable! I would also suggest you rethink the idea of not being able to order a take away hot drink within the cafe, you will lose business as people will not wait on the extremely long ice-cream queue!
