Our Buried Bones

We went to visit a special exhibition about skeletons. It was fascinating to see these medieval bones with the injuries and medical conditions suffered.

I find this place a bit dated but still very enjoyable, It doesn't appear to be well advertised though.

Fairly small, but an interesting collection. I would have liked to visit the attached Mackintosh House but found it to be a bit pricey on my budget - it was more expensive than admission for House For An Art Lover, which was excellent.

To move around Charles Renee Mcintosh and Margaret McDonald intimate home and furniture albeit in a reconstructed shell of what was their house somewhere else is an experience not to be missed. The exhibition of James McNeill Whistler's paintings is greatly enhanced by the presence of the artist’s materials, including brushes, etching plates, and printmaking tools. Finally the works of... One of my most anticipated stops during my day trip to Glasgow was to visit the Mackintosh House at this gallery. Being from the USA, I researched hours beforehand on their website. When I arrived to the museum at 4:20 pm, I learned that despite the House being open until 5 pm, visitor admissions were cut at 4:15. I know... More

It was a fantastic experience to wander around this gallery. The large number of artists being displayed was amazing. You will need a few hours to do it justice.

An art gallery like most others of similar ilk. Only explored the ground floor where there are many fine paintings, and the Mackintosh House for which there is a charge to visit. Would not visit again.

The Hunterian Gallery combined with the nearby (walking distance) Kelvingrove, make for a five-star attraction. Even though I didn't have time to see its main attraction - the Mackintosh House - I enjoyed the collection of paintings by Scottish colorists.

Well presented works in a light bright gallery. Echo-ie floorboards which lent its own charm to the gallery. Some lovely pieces and worth visiting.
