Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is not as big a gallery as some of Glasgow's others but it still houses a fair number of important paintings. It is situated in Sauchiehall |Street which is a busy shopping area and would make a good diversion.

Spent an afternoon browsing, Glasgow is famous for and has lots of museums and galleries so hard to choose. Pleasant way to spend some time

this is actually the first gallery space custom built for the purpose in the 1800's in Glasgow. Modest but impressive marble stairways to a first floor suite of exhibition rooms.
we went to view the free exhibition and there were some very interesting pieces, also including architecture and design, sculptures.
my favourites are James McDonalds Pieces
Great fun

Had a great experience looking at a free exhibition of paintings. It was the 152nd Royal Institute of Art Glasgow or the RGI for short. It was housed in the Mclellan Galleries in Sauchiehall Street.
It is a lovely old building with a beautiful marble staircase. It is rumoured it may have to close due to lack of maintenance.
This would be a great shame and a great loss to Glasgow.
I would be intested if anyone has further information on this.

Passing this the other day, I assume it has closed down now as the outside is desolate.
Alas, I could not investigate further due to all the smokers standing in front of the doors!!!
