Overview
More
Centre for Contemporary Arts is Glasgow's hub for creative activity. The building is steeped in history and the organisation has played a key role in the cultural life of the city for decades. We are proud to contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of Scotland's exciting arts scene. Our year-round programme includes cutting-edge exhibitions, film, music, literature, spoken word, festivals, Gaelic and much more. We have an open-source approach to programming and work with a growing number of partners and individuals to whom we often offer residencies in the building and/or the space to programme their own events. At the heart of all of activities is the desire to work with artists, generate new projects and present them to the widest possible audience. CCA curates six major exhibitions a year, presenting national and international contemporary artists in our gallery space. We are also home to Intermedia Gallery, showcasing emerging artists. Entrance to exhibitions and many events is free. Saramago Cafe Bar offers a relaxed environment and a great menu during the day as well as lively place to hang out in the evenings. Free wi-fi is available throughout the building. Independent shops Aye Aye Books and Welcome Home are located in the entrance area, offering a wide range of publications, craft and design to take home.

Visited here today with 4 friends and our babies. Be aware there is a minimum £5 spend on cards and all cash machines nearby charge £2. Service was dreadful. Waited ages for coffees and on paying was met by a small foreign speaking girl behind...More

Luck enough to secure tickets for a BBC Scotland Burns night. A very good studio for a gig of this type and easily accessible with good facilities

Really interesting arts space in central Glasgow. Has a small gallery space, shop, bookshop and cafe. Worth a visit for contemporary art.

This place is essentially a bar and restaurant, and a place to hang out. This is not a place to actually go to see art. There is limited art here, and to even view the limited items, you have to come at the right time...More

Intimate venue for smaller gigs. Great sound too. Also as a bonus has a bar and cafe/restaurant. Toilets spotless too. Friendly staff. No negatives whatsoever.

Looks like an interesting place with various exhibits and activities. Restaurant in the center of the ground floor has great coffee and most interesting vegetarian (Vegan) dishes. Nice place just to hang out for a bit.

My son is a vegan and this place is often on our list for somewhere to eat out. The food is always of a high quality. This time we opted for a selection of 'small plates' ordering 8 between the four of us - more...More

I've been going to the CCA for years now and really love that Glasgow has a venue like this. I mostly use it as somewhere to meet with friends for food or drinks but the exhibitions and events that CCA host are also really interesting...More

There's a lovely cafe at the bottom and you're free to browse through all the activities that are happening for the week.
