The best part of this gorgeous distillery was not just how well kept the grounds are, or how beautiful the views are, but the knowledgeable tour guides. My group was particularly led by Benny, who kept us very engaged and was clearly very informed on the history of the distillery as well as the way everything is made and meant to taste.

Fantastic experience in Scotland near Glasgow. Easy to reach via bus or Uber. Kathy (ambassador) told us everything about Glengoyne. Very unique experience.

Visited the site to buy a bottle of whisky, not a tour. Price of a bottle was £4.00 cheaper if we had been on a tour, but we were assured that the price we paid was the retail price and the tour price was discounted, sounded plausible so we purchased. Next day we visited a whisky retailer in Callander to find their retail price for the same bottle was £6.00 cheaper than the ‘assured’ price we paid at the distillery! Not impressed so - buyer beware!

Top quality experience. Great value for money. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable. Near enough to Glasgow to be easily accessible but far enough away to feel like a real adventure. Good parking. Will go back again for sure.

Amazing from start to finish!!
We accidentally stumbled upon Glengoyne Whisky during a tasting experience in Edinburgh and just HAD to visit after it became our new Whisky of choice.
Upon arrival we were greeted in the car park and told info of the site and where to check-in. We had booked the Malt Master experience and it did not disappoint.
Our tour guide was Vivienne and her knowledge was OUTSTANDING of the whole process and the site as a whole. During our tour of the facility she knew every question we had and introduced us to some of the staff who were actively making Whisky on the day. The malt master experience of making our own cask strength belen of Whisky was incredible and we would recommend it to anyone. Vivienne explained it all very well and guided us to make incredible (and with different blends) whisky’s that we love.
Not only did we learn about the distillery process but also about the sustainability of the facility and how Glengoyne has its famous Geese emblem. We visited the gift shop and the staff in there were excellent also; very knowledgable about the products - especially the legacy products.
We went back to the car and asked a member of staff if we could look at the view behind the storage areas of the casks - he let us have a peak into the warehouse and again was very knowledgable - letting us ask many questions and we heard his story from Guide > Warehouseman which just increased our love for the brand.
We also learn about the sustainability of the facility which was amazing to hear.
From start to finish everyone we came into contact with was knowledgable and friendly and we are already planning out next visit.
If you have the chance please do visit…

It was our long waited tour. I alog with my wife visited Glengoyne distilary on 8 th june 22. Though, it was a rainy day, still we enjoyed a lot. The ambience of the distillary was mesmerizing. One small waterfall is also existing in the campus itself. They explained the entire process very nice. Tasting of scotch was arranged in a big hall with nice arrangement. We are not whisky drinker and so two small tasting bottles were given to us as a gift for some friend. I must tecommend this tour.

My girlfriend and I came here for the 75 minute whiskey tasting, and boy it did not disappoint!
This distillery really distinguishes itself apart from others in Scotland. The tour itself is informative, and highlights the nuances between the distillery’s natural arrangements, and it’s environmentally friendly and ethical pursuit of excellence. An immersive experience, the tour invites you into the sights, smells and sounds of distilling, and breaks down the process component by component in a user friendly way. My girlfriend who wasn’t so thrilled at first found the process of whiskey making fascinating by the end.
Oh, and most importantly… the whiskey is TOP notch!
Our tour guide was Joseph, who is incredibly passionate, engaging, and personable. He personalized the experience and went above and beyond. He lead us through the psychology behind tasting and how to navigate your palette to identify all the flavors in the whiskey. Considerable pours for each too, which is always a plus!
I strongly recommend him, and this tour as a whole. A MUST DO in Glasgow.

I visited this distillery with my family and Joe, our tour guide made it amazing for all of us! He involved my kids into the tour that much that one of them (8yo) came back home saying that it was the most interesting bit of his tour of Scotland.
Its not vey big but very nice with plenty of little buildings around the main distillery.
I loved the room with all the bottles to compare the colour of the whisky depending on the type os cask used and the years kept into the barrel.
The tasking experience was very entertaining too!
The only bit missing in my opinion would be visiting the place where all the barrels are kept for ageing, on the other side of the road.

A friend and I went on the Collection Tour & Tasting, which was excellent. Our guide Bill was funny and informative, he really brought the place to life. The tasting was well explained, I learned a great deal. At £30 if you consider the retail price of the tasting whiskey and chocolate it is an excellent value tour. Definitely recommended.

Daft question, but is the bus stop literally just across the road from the entrance? I say that because we are booked on a tour and the bus only arrives 5 mins before the tour starts. I trust this is something that the distillery are used to and accommodate incase the bus is late?
Thanks!

I would like to know if you still sell the Pringle round neck sweaters with Glencoyne on the front.
Thank you

Hi. I did not see anything of that nature when we visited. Also someone mentions a store across the street. We live locally and I am unaware of any stores in the vicinity. Sorry.

At what ages are children allowed on a distillery tour, I have a daughter who will be 15 years old who would like to go but not sample.

When I was there, there were children on tours, so I think your 15 year old would be allowed, but just not allowed to imbibe. I'd contact them just to be certain - I had a few questions before I booked and they were quick and happy to answer the emails I sent.
